What's your favorite?   Mine's chocolate chip or white chocolate chip.

Yeah, chocolate chip will do for me. I'm also a big Oreos fan but that doesn't exactly count.

Not my favourite, but I enjoy Maple cookies as a nice change of pace. They seem distinctly Canadian though - it's a cookie shaped like a maple leaf with a filling that is supposed to taste like maple syrup - so I don't know what their worldwide penetration is.

Social Tea's are the best.

Haha, that's pretty Canadian all right.

Chocolate chip cookies are always good enough for me, but the homemade favorites are tough to beat. My grandmother makes a dynamite Swedish oatmeal cookie. Perfect melt-in-your-mouth cookie. My mom makes the best peanut butter blossoms.

I don't know why I love them, since I'm not THAT into chocolate, but they're the best. Molasses cookies are awesome but only if my grandmother makes them, since store-bought ones are always too chewy or too bland or whatever. I make a mean snickerdoodle.

What's a Snickerdoodle?

Just the other day, I was saying I'm kind of spoiled by homemade cookies - I have had so many good homemades that Chips Ahoy seem terrible by comparison. I still like Oreos and Fudgeeos.

My initial answer was choc chip, but that macadamia looked awfully good. That gets my vote, I think.

Snickerdoodles are just cinnamon cookies, basically, though I tend to add a little nutmeg and ginger as well.

It's all about chocolate chip and oatmeal raisin for me.  Which reminds me, I have some honey oatmeal raisin cookie dough in the freezer I need to get to baking.

My girlfriend loves white chocolate macadamia nut.

Snickerdoodles are pretty much the perfect cookie. They don't fuddle themselves up with weird mix-ins or anything, it's very much like a simple sugar cookie, except that a well-made snickerdoodle should be delectably soft and chewy, topped with a dash of cinnamon and brown sugar.

They're pretty hard to mess up if you're making them. They're like the Othello of cookie baking: A second to learn, a lifetime to master. I actually made them by accident the first time I did them at home, intending instead to make something else (might have been turnovers or something, I don't remember).
