Discuss your love or hate for the rice wine here!

Years ago it was also told to me that Sake was better warm, but I have also heard the opinion that warming of the Sake is just to mask the more stringent taste of inferior Sake.

Personally, I enjoy it both ways.

There is a local Sushi bar within walking distance from my house and during football season once the Thursday night games start(ed) the local sports station broadcasted live from their and for $15 you got the dinner buffet and 15 tastings/shots of Sake to go with it.

They had everything from the girly/fruity Sake to the more straight hardcore Sake.

The above is the standard bottle found in just about every grocery store. I have a bottle of it in my fridge. Good warmed up for sake bombs!

I'm not a fan of what I had, but I'm hardly well-versed on the stuff.

That's strange. The opposite is true with beer.

Buddy of mine gave me "Purple Haze" sake once. It was terrible.

Any other variety I've had has been enjoyable.
