East:

(1) Washington Capitals vs. (8) New York Rangers
(2) Philadelphia Flyers vs. (7) Buffalo Sabres
(3) Boston Bruins vs. (6) Montreal Canadiens
(4) Pittsburgh Penguins vs. (5) Tampa Bay Lightning

West:

(1) Vancouver Canucks vs. (8) Chicago Blackhawks
(2) San Jose Sharks vs. (7) Los Angeles Kings
(3) Detroit Red Wings vs. (6) Phoenix Coyotes
(4) Anaheim Ducks vs. (5) Nashville Predators

Questions:

1- Will you watch the city of Montreal burn to the ground in game 3 of the Bruins v. Habs series?
2- Series you will watch the least of and why.

Also, WHO YOU GOT.

East:

Rags d. Capitals in 6
Flyers d. Sabres in 6
Bruins d. Habs in 7
Lightning d. Penguins in 6

West:

Canucks d. Blackhawks in 7
Sharks d. Kings in 6
Dogs d. Red Wings in 6
Ducks d. Predators in 5

I don't see much in terms of a blowout series. I think the Canucks/Hawks series could either be a sweep or a game 7 OT, hard to tell.

Caps in 6
Briere's in 6
Bruins in 3 (I figure at some point Montreal just stops bothering to come to the arenas)
Penguins in 6

Canucks in 6
Sharks in 7
Red Wings in 6
Ducks in 5

The one I'll watch the least is Ducks/Predators.  It doesn't have the fun factor of Boston/Montreal.

Capitals in 5
Sabres in 7
Bruins in 7
Penguins in 6

Canucks in 6 (Really would love a Chicago sweep, but I don't see it)
Sharks in 7
Coyotes in 7 (If Phoenix wins the Cup, I win $150)
Predators in 6

The series I'll end up watching the least of will probably be Sharks/Kings because they'll all be past my bedtime.  I'll probably watch bits of the games in Nashville, I like their playoff crowds.

Watching Montreal burn to the ground will be a nice change of pace from election coverage.

I'll probably watch the Ducks/Preds series the least, as I can't see CBC giving much coverage to it.

I really do not know which version of the Wings will show up. Their defense has been brutal this year and goaltending was shaky. At times they have looked stellar but as late as game 81 they have looked dismal. I'd like to think Phoenix's offense won't be enough but if the porous D and questionable goaltending flare up they're screwed.

Dominic Moore just celebrated the fact that his shot was stopped about a foot short of the goal.  I really have no idea what he thought happened.  Had he taken another poke at it there's at least a chance he could have put it in.

Rangers over Capitals (six)
Flyers over Sabres (six)
Bruins over Canadiens (five)
Lightning over Penguins (seven)

Canucks over Blackhawks (six)
Sharks over Kings (seven)
Red Wings over Coyotes (seven)
Ducks over Predators (four)

1.) Montreal will win game three. Game four they'll lose by six.
2.) Ducks vs Preds

The great thing about no one caring about the Ducks and the Predators is that it extends to both teams home towns.

The Rags are the worst draw for the Caps in the first round. Their ability to block shots, forecheck and ESPECIALLY backcheck is going to kill Washington. Even if the Caps get out of the first round, they're going to have to earn it. They'll be close to cooked in the second round.

After that brutal and penalty filled first period, the Wings certainly turned it around. Howie kept them in it which was quite encouraging.

Bit late on my predictions but tonight didn't change them:

Caps in 6
Flyers in 5
Bruins in 5
Penguins in 7

Canucks in 7
Sharks in 5
Wings in 6
Ducks in 7

Least: Ducks/Preds or Kings/Sharks.

So, I got tickets to Caps/Rangers game 2 through work.  I kinda feel like a dick since I'm, at best, a casual hockey fan, but fuck it, let's see some teeth spill.  Anyone in particular you guys would like taunted?

It seems like the Bruins make the worst mistakes at the worst possible times in the playoffs.  Trying to shoot the puck THROUGH Price's chest didn't help things.

Kings love this physical play. I am tense as fuck right now, but I love the rough stuff our players have been utilizing all game.

Stoll's probably gonna get suspended for that hit on White. So we'll get to see Schenn. But without Stoll's faceoff ability, um...

Hasn't that always been the problem with the Sharks? They've always had the talent to be a great team, they just never had the toughness to stand up to a very physical style of play in the playoffs. I'd bet if you look at every time they get bounced, it was against a very physical team.

Go Kings go!

Yes, I know they lost, I still hope they win it.

This is either going to a be a win going away by the Bruins, ala Smarch 24 or the season might as well be over.
