Kane vs. Benoit at Bad Blood '04 was pretty good, wasn't it?

The greatness of Jericho, Benoit, Christian, Edge, and Benjamin far outweigh the shittiness of Kane.

Del Rio feud.

I was STUNNED that Big Show wasn't named in the emmy nominations today.

Was this stunningly bad acting?

Is this going to be the new Morrison-Orton that gets posted every other week as an example of bad acting?

I also loved his sprinting to the ring like 2 weeks later, even though the accident was supposed to have crushed his leg.

Big Show is great when they give him good stuff to do.  ECW title run was awesome.  Tag teams w/ Jericho and Miz were awesome.  Mayweather match was awesome.

Kane.......I honestly don't think I've cared about one of his angles since the stuff with Lita, Snitsky and Matt Hardy.  His character is just so ridiculous at this point and they book him in the most boring and predictable ways

Good Kane matches:

vs Albert, IC Title match Smackdown 2001
vs Kurt Angle, pointless Smackdown match, 2002
Kane vs Kurt Angle, Wrestlemania X8

I found that Mania match really disappointing.  The TV match was better and it was a colossal waste of Angle.

Kane vs Kurt Angle, Wrestlemania X8
Kane vs Big Show ECW Extreme Rules match about a week or so after Show beat RVD.
Kane vs Big Show technical clinic RAW 2006-ish. Eh, more of an anomaly than anything.

I don't remember them saying it "crushed his leg".

Didn't he get up on his own power during that same segment?

thoughts on SD

-Christian was great.
-This cannot be said enough: Orton's beard is atrocious.
- that tour bus will get blown up one of these days.
- Kelly is awful. Isn't over, can't really wrestle, can't cut a decent promo...shame the women's division has completely fallen part in Kong's absence, although I guess that was inevitable.
- Liked Wade on commentary.

Being more over than Gail isn't really a compliment though. Orton's beard is more over than Gail.

Well, yeah. I guess Laycool where (barely) holding the division together, whereas Kong was making it good and relevant again.

Now, the division is practically back to the days when Debra was champion, and Harvey Wippleman was was in drag.

She was shifting tv huge numbers and getting giant pops within that month though. People cared about the women's division for the first time in forever.

Yes, in that they've bothered to train them to at least bump, unlike everyone in that list but Jackie.

That's not the same thing as holding a division together. Trish Stratus held the women's division together during her run. Kong hasn't been around long enough to become an anchor or focal point to build the division around.

I'd also assume if WWE was like it was in 1999, that Kelly walking around in her underwear would get as big a pop as debra/sable/kat/jackie.

Kelly was head babyface diva (whatever that means) and whenever evil heel Kong came out to kick her ass, she was still getting cheered widly and everyone was egging her on. Doesn't exactly tell me Kelly is over.

I've never heard Kelly get much of a reaction on raw. SD stuff might be piped in, I don't know.

It actually tells you more about Kong's overness, since she got that pop when she was beating up anybody, than it does about Kelly's.

I'll give her credit: I don't doubt she's trying, and, barring her irrational fear of ring ropes, she's not a total disaster in the ring. But she's not very good in the ring either and, out of the ring, comes off as incredibly vapid and bland in promos. She manages to be generic, even by generic blond model standards. Now, they could use that, and team her with Maryse for a beautiful people heel stable or something similar, but they insist on casting her as a face, even though she's not actually that likable.

People (including me) have complained about Russo and how he has to portray women. But I'm beginning to think female characters being mad about something and calling either other insulting names is still more interesting than a lead female babyface who does nothing but smile and look happy all the time. Kelly has no character whatsoever.

Some spoilers via gerweck...

Results from tonight’s tapings at the Target Center in Minneapolis, MN:

- Show opens with a recap of the World championship match from the Money in the Bank, in which Christian won the title via DQ.

- Randy Orton cuts a promo, talking about losing the strap, Vince McMahon being replaced by Triple H, and then calls out Christian, who appears. Christian fires back at Orton, and talks about spitting in his face to win the championship. Orton goes after Christian, but Teddy Long reminds the former champion that he is already booked tonight in a street fight against Kane. Long books Christian vs. IC champion Ezekial Jackson for tonight.

- World champion Christian defeated IC champion Ezekial Jackson with a kill switch.

- Michael Cole interviewed Daniel Bryan. He called Bryan’s victory at Money in the Bank a fluke and said he’ll probably cash it in when the champion is down. Daniel said he intends to not cash in his chance until Wrestlemania.

- Daniel Bryan defeated Health Slater.

- In an interview, Mark Henry said he doesn’t regret what he did to The Big Show at the Money in the Bank PPV.

- Wade Barrett and Sheamus fought to a double count. Afterwards, Sheamus nailed Barrett with a Brogue Kick.

- A Cody Rhodes vignette airs next.

- Kane promo.

- Randy Orton defeated Kane in a street fight. They worked a long match, and afterwards, they shook hands.

I wouldn't be surprised if he lost it before hand...but it wouldn't shock me to see him in the title match.  It doesn't matter a lick who is in that match.  Cena vs. Rock and the WrestleMania name are the draws.
