Apparantly yesterday was Mother's Day in the US. So, tonight, in lieu of any matches being booked for Raw to discuss, let's send out belated Mother's Day wishes to some of wrestling's matriarchs.

Buff Bagwell vs. Positively Kanyon-Judy Bagwell on a Pole

I can't find a clip, but how about Boss Man "interviewing" Big Show's mom and calling him A BIG DIRTY BASTARD, AND YOUR MOM SAYS SO TOO!

Live tonight on USA Network, WWE Champion Randy Orton and Legacy open Raw by addressing their heinous acts last week that sent Shane McMahon out of the arena on a stretcher.

By order of General Manager Vickie Guerrero, John Cena faces The Miz in an Exhibition Match, six days before the recuperating Superstar clashes with Big Show at Judgment Day. What exactly does the Raw GM have in mind?

Spoiler: show
There will be a Randy Orton interview talking about Shane McMahon that will kick off RAW tonight. Rhodes & DiBiase will be ringside as well.

There will also be an "exhibition" match with John Cena vs. Miz. John Cena apparently isn't medically cleared. He's advertised for another post-RAW dark match.

Edit: I guess that wasn't much of a spoiler, hey Venk?

I guess in his mind it would be humiliating for her, and eventually he could just give her the OOOOOL' Kanyon Cutter. Or hell, do it every three minutes, after all, she is his valet.

Please rush through this Batista feud. Hopefully HHH stays the fuck away so that we can have a new contender after Judgment Day. Maybe HHH-Batista feud, which would make sense, 4 years since the last feud.

Even thought it would never happen, maybe his partner is someone else with THE in a name?

The Great Khali?
The Undertaker?
Shawn Michaels?

Seriously, the partner will probably be a let down. Unless, it's Paul London.

I'm glad Miz wasn't squashed in the match, but Cena getting better all of a sudden really sucked. I've been one of his backers for a while, mainly because I've followed him since his UPW days, but that was just horrible.

Second week in a row this show has been completely worthless. Totally made me disinterested in the ppv on Sunday, no way in hell I'm purchasing it, even with them throwing Jericho/Rey in there.

I never knew until this week that apparently the Unified Tag Titles can be defended on any of the three brands though. Didn't ever recall them mentioning that before. Sadly that was probably the only thing I sat through the whole segment (specifically Carlito-Kendrick) to watch in the entire two hours, the rest of the show just went nowhere to me. I'm slightly interested to see where they are going with Miz and Cena, but I think it's clear that, more than likely, next week they will finally have an "official" match (and how stupid for them to do an "exhibition" by the way) and Cena squashes him. So much for that.

This Batista/Legacy shit is so unbearably dull and lame as well, I just hope it's done after the ppv with those two. The last two weeks of Raw have just been horrible.

I'm taking a long break from RAW after last week, but man, reading a recap of this it sounds just as bad or possibly even worse than that show

About the only thing I'm interested in is to see how high THE Brian Kendrick can fly, which says as much about their booking as it does about me.

What is with them and handicap matches?  Who does it benefit?  The only time it really works is when there's a legit reason for a guy to have to go out there without a partner, yet they just throw them around like it's nothing.  Rhodes and Dibiase have been treated like absolute garbage since the Royal Rumble.  Same with Orton.  It's amazing how bad they've managed to fuck up Legacy, but I guess it shouldn't surprise me considering the way they continually false started it and almost killed it before it even happened.

I'm sure according to their fucked up logic Rhodes and Dibiase being involved on any level with guys like HHH and Batista is better for them than actually being booked strong against mid carders like the Colons or MVP or whoever, but I mean, anyone who actually watches these shows looks at them like total fucking jabronis at this point

All of the newsbits about London being a douche (interviews where he's self-important, his text message about being a convention no-show, etc.) are obviously just a big work on the boys designed to introduce his The Paul London character.

Looking at the Raw roster, the viable options for Kendrick's partner would be Jamie Noble (good)... The Miz (likely won't happen)... uhm... Sim Snuka? Shit, there's no-one on Raw. And FCW? Seamus seems to be the guy they're building towards promoting, everybody expects him to be involved with Finlay since he's Irish and that's how wrestling stereotypes work. I guess he'd work.

Eh, I think Dibiase and Rhodes are in a way better position than they were. Granted, they're getting treated like Jabronis but they have way more credibility than Edge's sidekicks did. Also, I think Ted needs to stay in the background for a while, until he discovers something resembling a personality.

As for them being in mid card matches, I remember Meltzer saying the reason they hadn't taken the titles off the Carlito and Primo, was because WWE actually think they're above the tag belts now. Although I don't know if  that's an indication of their high standing or just a sign that they really hate the tag division.

It's an indication of the WWE's fucked up logic.  To them pinballing around for Shane McMahon, HHH and Batista is a better spot than actually being built up on tv with some good matches and feuds.

Would it really be a bad thing for Rhodes and Dibiase to go after the tag titles?  And then maybe when Legacy attacks Batista 3 on 1 the Colons make the save and we could have actual 6 man tags instead of these bullshit handicap matches.  Would anyone actually be LESS over if they did it that way?

Low Ki is obviously long overdue to be on the main roster, but I don't think that pairing really works, aside from how awesome their matches would be.

I bet it's going to be Eric "Escobar" Perez.  He's a big guy and a decent enough worker I guess.  He's also been in developmental for a long time.  He recently dropped the FCW title and has worked some odd dark matches on WWE shows, so he's probably due for a call up.  He's also Puerto Rican, used to work for WWC down there, and teamed with Eddie Colon in developmental, so he'd have some familiarity and an angle right off the bat.

I think it's going to be Festus for some reason, Kendrick will play the smarmy chickenshit heel who will learn to control Festus somehow by the whole bell-ringing thing, and use it to his advantage to have him help them win the tag titles (or at least try to win them). Will probably just be a short term deal to lead to the feud of the century (note my sarcasm) of Festus/Kendrick within a month.

If Miz wasn't being written against Cena week to week here, I'd say it would be him, and I guess it still could be, but it seems like they are focused on wanting to make Miz a midcarder single. If they had plans to put him with Kendrick, I doubt they would have ever started this Cena stuff with him.

I finally got around to watching Raw last night and wow, MVP as a face is absolutely insufferable. And the "I'm running across the stage coz I'm fired UP~!" was goofy as hell when Edge did it and MVP has somehow managed to make it worse.
