Tonight's ECW will see the return of "The Peep Show," as ECW Champion Christian hosts the fan-favorite segment with a special guest: Captain Charisma's Judgment Day opponent, Jack Swagger.

I guess they're counting on the fact that not everybody has WGN America so this doesn't come off as a ripoff of last week's Cutting Edge segment.

So I'd imagine this Finlay-Kidd match will lead to DH Smith's ECW debut.

Since they keep talking about TJ's training in the Hart Dungeon, it would be the right direction to make.

Isn't that Promoting Pro Wrestling book a scam? I remember Gabe saying he had absolutely nothing to do with the book

--Gabe Sapolsky has written us saying that while he is listed in the advertising for a book called "Promoting Pro Wrestling," he is not nor was he ever involved in the project. (f4w)

Don't mean to bring the thread off-topic, I'm just curious.

Way to call it, guys.
Of course cage matches work.  If they didn't work, everybody would still be in the cage.

Well, it has an interview with him in it. It may have been reprinted from before he left ROH.

So ECW has one official tag team.

Pretty good match while it lasted too.

I'm expecting Seamus O'Shaunessy to get the call up to be Finlay's partner at this point as well.

Good call on calling up Seamus as Finlay's partner. Now ECW might have TWO matches on the GAB PPV!

I do remember Chad Collyer in ROH.  Chad Collyer is a better worker than Vladimir Kozlov ever will be.

Of course, that means if Chad Collyer ever gets fulltime contract, he'll get the Scotty Goldman treatment.

Again, I'm not sure why they keep bringing up Swagger's lisp unless he's going to get speech therapy or something to fix it.

That was a pretty good episode of ECW.  I marked hard when DH Smith ran in.  I want to like him, though I haven't seen enough of him yet.  I'm a fan of Tyson and Natalya already.  And the Hart Foundation was one of my favorite tag teams and my #1 favorite stable of all time, so I'm supporting this new group.  The Hart Attack finisher was the icing on the cake.

He should use the hangman's neckbreaker as a finisher.

Yeah, particularly the Finlay/Tyson match and subsequent Hart Foundation V2 debut was really good stuff, and it was good to hear the crowd reactingly appropriately, nice heat there. Glad they finally greenlit this move to put Smith and Tyson together as a tag team.

Otherwise, the rest of the show was alright, definately nothing worthless like Raw pretty much was from start to finish. Well, ok, could have gone without another Kozlov squash, but at least it was quick. Christian/Swagger also had a very strong go-home angle for their match on the ppv.

Where is this Gregory Helms thing going? I really hope he doesn't revert back to the Hurricane character as it's beyond stale. I want Helms to back to his 2006 awesome heel mode.

I loved his theme music too. Well, the first one before he changed to that lame ass "IT'S TIME!" I was disappointed he came back as Hurricane Helms, a weird mixture of both characters. This "run" of his he is on right now has been remarkably lame.

Am I the only one who wants to see the return of The Hurricane? It was a fun midcard gimmick that was really over at one point. Helms spent most of that whole run more over than he's ever been in his career otherwise.

I still think it's fucking stupid that WWE won't let him use "Shane" just because of Vince's annoying son.
