Sabra makes my favorite store-bought hummus, by far. Their roasted red pepper is ace, too.

I love all of Sabra's hummus flavors and can't go through a family sized container in one sitting, but you forgot to mentioned the best one:

^Oh, I have that one in my fridge right now. I like the garlic one and the one with the pine nuts.

I like the garlic one, but it's like no amount of toothpaste, mouthwash, or breath mints can remove the aftertaste. Garlic as unpowdered balls.

Love them all!  I buy pita bread, cut it into triangles, brush them with EVOO, and bake them in the oven.  Warm, soft pita chips with a crisp outer later in that hummus is amazing.
Oh Dandy...you came and you gave without taking!

Incandenza, what is your preferred vehicle for hummus consumption? I've recently been using kettle cooked potato chips (namely the Cape Cod sea salt and cracked pepper variety) because I love salt and grease so fuck a pita bread and oh boy is that a tasty snack.

Tearing up loaves of pita and dipping those motherfuckers right into the hummus.

Simmer those potato chips in vinegar and a little bit of oil on low/medium heat, Byron. Don't put too much vinegar so they don't lose the crunch and you got yourself a p. good snack. They can still be used to dip, so I'm sure they'd be bomb with that artichoke hummus.

The why isn't it called dip?

Hummus just sounds so unappealing... like some terrible Scottish meat dish.

koab is full of shit, you think hummus is too fancy for a dude with an outdoor kitchen? Pretending to get it confused with motha fuckin' HAGGIS?? Don't fall for that minstrel show shit, koab probably has a container of organic cilantro and lemon-infused hummus that he got from Whole Foods in a nuclear-powered cooler by his pool.

Most of the times i've eaten haggis it's already been cut open pre serving (as haggis serves multiple people) - so theres none of the 'stomach' casing part, it ends up pretty much looking like mince (with oats or whatever in).
It's pretty good stuff, basically like really rich mince with hints of black pudding. When served with neeps and tatties (mashed turnip and potato) it's a really good comfort food dinner on a winter evening.
Dunno why it's got such as reputation as a weird scary food, it's not that much different from a sausage

I don't know. Are potatoes, mince, stomach and sausages common words in the american lexicon? If not, don't worry!

Mince is ground beef in British English, e.g. Mince and Tatties, which is ground beef with  mixed-in root vegetables and mashed potatoes.

Needed the juice from a can of chick peas for a totally different recipe and just had all these damn things, so I made my own hummus.

Other than the fact that I have a bargain basement food processor, it was just as good as Sabra.

honestly it was probably better, the texture of homemade hummus alone makes it worth it.

I always heard that if you buy Sabra hummus, you're basically supporting the Israeli military. A quick Wikipedia search shows they donated a bunch of food to the Israeli Defense Forces

I don't know how that is relevant to the conversation anyway. I usually buy store brand hummus anyway so I guess I won't lose any popularity with the Free Palestine types.
