I thought the Laker team would squash the Nuggets.

Uh oh. Kennedy was holding his wrist at the end there.

Uh oh. Kennedy was holding his wrist at the end there.

I caught that too. If he is that injury prone, he might as well retire now.

Really bad Raw all around if you ask me. Flair's return presence has become a non-issue already within a week. The matches this week just didn't click, neither did the return of Kennedy. And I don't even need to mention "that other stuff."

I didn't catch where Kennedy may have got hurt, but he was defiantly holding his wrist at the end.

WTF? Batista decided to get fully dressed..

He's the only one that realized that short trunks + long shirts = appearance of being naked from the waist down. Must have been paying attention during Jericho's WHC reign.

Huh?

God damn this match is tedious. Just end it already.

Agreed.  Way too many face in peril/resthold spots for a 10 man tag team match.

Man this Lakers team is gonna get destroyed.   So fucking undersized, their Center is what... 6'6", 6'7"?   Even Isiah Thomas knows that shit don't work.

They went with a run and gun style and the Nuggets underused their big man inside. Whoever was coaching that team should be fired. Big Show had an easy 8 inch advantage, throw it DOWN big man!

I would of rather watched them try to play basketball... though Kennedy would of probably blown out a knee going for a loose ball.

It's Kennedy, he would have broken three of his fingers catching a pass.

I'm glad Kennedy is back, but that was yet another terrible edition of Raw.

And for the record, I was considering ordering Extreme Rules until they announced Santino vs. Vickie. There's no way they're getting my money now.

DEFIANTLY~!

I just finished watching Raw on DVR delay.  I was watching the actual Lakers/Nuggets game when it was on.  Not a bad show, overall.  I liked the main event and the finisher parade that followed and, strangely enough, the Goldswoggle/Festrick match, as well as Goldswoggle's skit with"Nicholson".  I pretty much have always thought Hornswoggle was a waste of space, and I don't want to see him wrestle, but I like his team with Goldust.  Seeing Mr. Kennedy back was cool, even though he just got his ass kicked for most of the match.  The announcement of Santina vs. Vickie made me cringe.

I just wish the move from Denver to LA would have happened sooner, rather than right after I had spent a lot of money.  I would have liked to have attended the show.

I thought it was a fun show, not great and not better than last week's effort but better than most of the post Mania shows, but I seem to be the minority. Maybe I just laughed too much at the XBA joke.

I also like that this whole thing actually has it's own wikipedia entry - http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/May_2009_Pepsi_Center_double-booking_controversy

Edit: Based on his facebook status, Bryan Alvarez was not a fan of the show either, but that might be because he decided to take a 900 mile road trip just to see it. I hope this doesn't delay the newsletter, I hate it when his antics do that.

Besides Kendrick dragging out Festus while still doing his strut and Kennedy having Luke Walton's number the comedy was a massive fail for this RAW.

That Vince/Kroenke segment was the worst thing in the history of television ever! It was so awful that I was frozen in rage and couldn't reach the remote to turn the TV over and was forced to watch it for a whole 8 minutes! This is unnacceptable!

I'm just pissed it wasn't Excalibur.

The triple threat and the ten man tag were both enjoyable enough that this wasn't a total wash, but otherwise horrible stuff. The Vince segment wasn't entertaining and probably made more people watching at home think "Oh yeah, basketball is on!" than anything else.

This isn't the first time we've had Basketball/Batista interaction, of course. Remember his fued with Khali?

I remember "basketballs don't hold grudges" and I think wrestlecrap does, too.

Excalibur being the gimmick Jericho was going to use in 1999 because THQ named him that in a few preview shots of WrestleMania 2000, correct?

Way to go, Vince! A horrible Raw, a bad rating, and pissed off fans. Still, at least you're not trying to reenact 90s ECW.

I wonder what everyone backstage that was saying "VERY FUNNY MR. MC MAN!" had to say once they got the ratings?

Everyone was watching Kate and Jon and basketball.

Imagine what happens if those two idiots split up. If they play a five on five basketball game (John plus four and Kate plus four), Raw is doomed.

When on commentary, did MVP make any reference to William Regal attacking him a couple of weeks ago in that angle that went nowhere and was done for no reason?
