Steam sale is on and my Wishlist is taunting me with the 70%-80% cuts.

I hate you Christmas.

Doom Steam code 75% off—$15 USD / $20 CAD. Possibly even less at £10 on the UK site, assuming there's nothing region-locked.

I saw someone claim you could match Walmart or Amazon's base price at $229.96, and Best Buy would still give you the gift card too. Looks like Walmart.com is showing out of stock, though.

Yeah, I read that too so I thought about trying.  Think you have to do it online to have best luck as I see a store shutting it down or not getting the gift card trying to match at time of transaction.

I've been waffling on how to buy if I do.  Sales tax is super cheap in the city I live, so I save nearly $4 if I have it shipped to home.  If I do store pickup online, I pay that little extra tax but have it now, but they still send the gift card.

Think I may run to the store near my office on lunch and get it so I have the gift card in hand so I can turn around and use the gift card to get the 5 TB External Drive I want for my X1 that is running out of space.

It was cheaper for me to purchase the Game of the Year Edition of Dragon Age: Inquisition than it was to purchase all the DLC I still needed to make it a complete game. By like 50%. Funny how that works.

I gotta say, Newegg sure has their shit together when it comes to shipping.  It said Watch Dogs would arrive on Saturday but I got it yesterday.  Hell of a lot better than Amazon in my experience.

Drawful 2 is free for Twitch Prime members (part of Amazon Prime), until Dec 27. It is not part of any of the 3 Jackbox Party Pack bundles, as far as I can tell.

I'm new to XBOX Live. I saw the first deal of the day listed on the store on the 22nd, but I haven't seen anymore since. Are they listed in a certain place, or is Deal of the Day just a catchy name?

https://majornelson.com/2016/12/22/the-official-list-of-deals-on-xbox-stores-countdown-to-2017/

Today's should be:
Saints Row / Metro Double Pack
Homefront: The Revolution 'Freedom Fighter' Bundle
Mighty No. 9

Yesterday's were Peggle 2 and Rayman Legends. Looks like sales might last a little while into the next day, but those are back to regular price now.

Major Nelson (Xbox community guy) probably posts the deals on social media sites. They're on his Twitter.

Other options for a similar Xbox One S deal in the US this week: Depending on where you buy, get an extra controller, headset, or game. And maybe the $50 gift card.

Nice, though it shows Target as an option for free game when I go there they offer the controller.

Edit: Damn, wish I hadn't missed this, https://www.microsoftstore.com/store/msusa/en_US/pdp/Xbox-One-Tom-Clancy%E2%80%99s-The-Division-Bundle-1TB/productID.5076921100?tduid=(4367f6de777c3c8c6cf0ce5a51026e5f)(256380)(2459594)(vl0mfKZlvKU-smktERN_Nnp1XWtuqxBwOw)() $229 for 1TB XBox One Division Bundle, also with free game and $50 code, not a One S but for over $100 less I def wouldn't mind, heh

Early unlock for Humble Monthly is XCOM 2. Get it now for $12 USD, plus a handful of mystery games in a month.

https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly

If you're a new subscriber, and have bought another Humble Bundle recently, you should have a 10% off coupon, bringing it down to $10.80 USD.

Previous best on XCOM 2 is in the $20-30 USD range.

The XBone guitar bundle of Rock Band Rivals is $39.99 at Amazon and GameStop.  Don't know if that applies to the PS4 version (it didn't on Amazon).  Can't pass that up even though I kinda wanted the full kit but I bet I can get the drums cheap on EBay or something and I already have a mic.

Dirt Showdown is free from Humble Store until Saturday at 1 PM EST. Steam code needs to be redeemed by Jan 28.
https://www.humblebundle.com/store/dirt-showdown-free-game

Which possibly means it has expiring licences, and will be pulled from sale soon. That's what happened with Dirt 3 and Grid, at least. It will be 5 years since its release, come May.

There's a Humble Store winter sale as well. Don't know that there's anything real noteworthy there.

Posted in the Movies thread when talking about some movie sales but Best Buy is doing $25 off $100 order if you use Visa Checkout until 1/25.  It works on pre-orders.

Seeing I have Gamers Unlocked, I pre-ordered Injustice 2 and Red Dead Redemption 2 and then threw in Casper on Blu-ray because it was $4.99 to cross the $100.  It came to like $81 to have those two on pre-order for release date and then have that other blu-ray.  $40 each for those on release should be nice.

They are also doing B2G1 on their pre-owned games.  You can only get one set per transaction but I did some playing around.

For $83.32 I am getting -

Battlefield 1 Early Enlister Xbox One new (on sale for $40 ($32 w/ GCU)
Ghostbusters X1 (x2) used ($34.98 for both after GCU)
Samurai Warriors 4 PS4 used (Free from B2G1 w/ Ghostbusters)
Resident Evil 4 X1 new ($12 after GCU)
Little Big Planet 3 PS4 ($16 after GCU)
The Break-Up Blu-ray ($4.99 to cross the $100)

The Ghostbusters trade to Amazon for $17.80 and Samurai trades there for $15.40 so the plan is getting myself Battlefield deluxe edition, LBP3, RE4, Break-Up for essentially $32.32 as I should be able to get $51 in Amazon credit after those games show up and I send them with Amazon's free shipping labels.

Was trying to think if there is anything else I want to pre-order this year but nothing jumping out.

Early unlock for March's Humble Monthly is Total War: Warhammer. $12 USD for that now, then get a handful of mystery games the first Friday of March.
https://www.humblebundle.com/monthly

February's bundle ended up pretty solid. XCOM 2 was arguably good enough, but it also had Abzu, SteamWorld Heist, Ryse, Project Highrise, and a few others.

https://www.humblebundle.com/mobile/rpgs-mobile-bundle

For a few minutes, it was treating the BTA tier as the highest tier, because the average was higher than the $6 blue tier. Could've sworn the blue tier always got you everything.

Humble Freedom Bundle has 47 items (mostly games, with a few eBooks), for a minimum of $30 USD. Money goes to ACLU, Doctors Without Borders, and International Rescue Committee, with Humble matching the first $300k (already met).

Games include The Witness, Stardew Valley, Subnautica, Nuclear Throne, Invisible Inc... A lot have been in previous Humble bundles, but still several great games.

I grabbed the Rome Total War Collection for 3.50 and Endless Legend classic edition for 8.25 on steam.
