Yeah... I skimmed. Did the goal get pushed from $20k to $100k after the initial goal was reached?

Renzo once again proved that it's impossible for a Gracie to open their mouth without stupidity spewing forth.

Apparently, every MMA fighter except Frankie and Weidman are on PED's.

I took a look at the possibilities of what the line up could have been had the Frank Shamrock vs. Ken Shamrock PPV came to pass back in 2008. The background of the fights and the aftermath of why it all came apart is covered as well.

UFC has signed undefeated Danish fighter Nicolas Dalby who's currently the CWFC WW champ. Kid has looked pretty impressive on the regional circuit, has a lot of hype behind him.

That's fair, there are a few guys like Jouban who have done well but recently with Gunnar and now LaFlare falling I can see where you're coming from. Even then I think too much is being made of LaFlare's loss, despite his age and record recently people tend to forget that Maia is one of the best grapplers in the history of the sport and it's no shame in losing that way to him.

I'm in no way surprised to hear about the Tompkins stuff. Sean was one of those guys who was loved by those he loved and anybody outside his circle hated his guts.

Great article though. Mindenhall is the best in the game at these types of pieces.

So it seems like Cyborg locked up a contract with Zuffa a few weeks back as was the rumours but it has some stipulations. She's still going to defend her belt at least once more for Invicta at 145 and before they grant her a title shot Dana and Co. need to be satisfied that she can safely cut to 135.

Meltz said the other day that Alberto Del Rio's injury was the only thing holding back him and Bill Goldberg from facing off at a Glory kickboxing event.

Meltz said they must have offered Bill a truckload of cash since he turns every other offer from wrestling and MMA down.

At the Boston stop of the McGOAT World Tour we were treated to Conor saying he wants to turn Aldo's favela into a Reebok factory.

Which, ya know, probably doesn't make the brass at Reebok too happy.

If I wasn't already sold on the fight, the thing that would have hooked me in was in the first Embedded episode when Conor tells Aldo he's gonna die and he gets the crazy eyes that you can't fake.

That would be the promo shot I'd use for the next few months.

Conor's shit talk here has a purpose which is to goad Aldo into fighting like he did against Mendes. He (Conor) knows his best and only chance at winning is to get into prolonged boxing exchanges because that's where his length, power and chin will be to his advantage. If Aldo fights at range and uses leg kicks, lateral movements and takedown's he coasts to an easy decision or a late tko.

Long and the short of it is that unless Jose chooses to fight angry he's got this locked up.

I think so too. There's too much on the line for Aldo in terms of personal pride for him not to want to just get in there guns blazing and try and fuck Conor up. He'll look bad if he turns it into a point-fighting contest and gets on his bike to counter punch for 25 minutes.

I really don't understand where all the love for PVZ is coming from. Like, yeah shes pretty hot. But I watched her first UFC fight...am I the only one that thinks she isn't the next big star of WMMA and that Felice is probably gonna beat her up for 3 rounds?

The "love" is 100% related to her hotness. I'd guarantee a good portion of people talking her up have never seen her fight.

Her first fight was against a girl who was also 3-0 and it was a back and forth scramble of a fight where she used her wrestling to gas her opponent out.

Felice is a veteran at this point, is one of the bigger 115 pound girls in the division and has better striking. Maybe she can catch a sub, but I don't think her wrestling is good enough to get Felice down. I think this PVZ train stops real quick.

Askren's last four fights haven't been boring at all, he seems to have heard the criticisms of his game and worked on being more exciting. UFC should sign him for a bunch of reasons but it's tough for them to crow about being the place where all the best fighters in the world are when they passed on a top-level WW.

Plus he needs to fight Hendricks. That's a legit blood feud between two of the best wrestling-to-mma crossovers in the sports history.

Here's the current Top 15 rankings for WW in the UFC.....

Champ- Robbie Lawler

1. Johny Hendricks
2. Rory MacDonald
3. Tyron Woodley
4. Carlos Condit
5. Matt Brown
6. Demian Maia
7. Hector Lombard
8. Tarec Saffedine
9. Dong Hyun Kim
10. Kelvin Gastelum
11. Jake Ellenberger
12. Rick Story
13. Thiago Alves
14. Gunnar Nelson
15. Ryan LaFlare

I'd say Askren beats everybody from 15-9, Brown, Condit and Lombard too.

I was thinking about putting Maia on that maybe list, but I think Askren would lay-and-pray that one to a 30-27. If Shields could do it, so could Askren.

Why hasn't WSOF picked up Askren? Askren vs. Shields, Fitch, Paul Harris. Those are interesting fights.

The rumour I heard is that after he left Bellator and was shopping around it was suggested to him when he met with Zuffa that he got to WSOF for a couple fights and Ben didn't want to.

Which I agree with. Despite there being some good fights for him there he should have went right to UFC.

Is this actually news? I thought it was pretty well known. If you look at RDA's physique right around the Soitoroplous fight there's a marked difference.

And, as we usually think when things like this get brought up: holy shit what Khabib did to him was impressive. And he's going to do it again. New LW champ by the end of 2015/early 2016, bet that.

That's true and it wouldn't surprise me if Green or his management got a call from some Zuffa employee reminding them of shit you don't spill publicly.
