Renewed and I fixed the draft timer. it will not be too fast this year.

last years teams:
CWM (CWM's Roughnecks)
209 (Fuck BEISBOL AGAIN)
Harley (Gotham Harlequins)
Flik (Flamingos)
SteakGrowsOnDmitri (SteakgrowsonOrtiz)
Krankor (The Shockmaster)
Hawk 34 (This is Hawk's Team)
Baby Shoes (Baltimore Blumpkins)
Brooklyn Zoo  (Rayneil's team)
MFer  (Miggy Miggy Miggy)
Gert (Gert's Surly Goats)
Brocklock (Tony's Team)
My suggestion for next season.

Rosters are entirely too massive for no reason for a weekly h2h setup. If we did a daily roster move format it would make more sense to have immense benches. With weekly, our benches are basically just developmental guys and excess hurt guys.

Current Setup:
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL UTL SP SP RP RP P P P P BN BN BN BN BN BN DL DL

Proposed Setup:
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL SP SP SP RP RP P P BN BN BN BN DL DL NA NA

NA is the prospect away from the big league team slot {not suspended guys}

Bump Innings Requirements up to 20 or 22. There's no reason with 3 designated SP positions you shouldn't get 5 IP a piece from them, leaving 5 IP for the 2 RP and 2 P spots.

4 Roster spots have been eliminated. That's going to add 48 people to the waiver wire. It was hell on earth last year finding anything useful off the waiver wire. I'm sure it'll be the same again this year.

15 seconds for draft time limits is bad. You might as well just make the draft autodraft at that point. 45 seconds is the absolute minimum. If your goal is to get the draft done as fast as humanly possible than just don't do a live draft at all and make it auto pick. Drafts always take like 2 hours. Another solution to hasten the draft would be set the roster size to 16, have no bench. Then once the draft is over, readd the bench spots and let teams add free agents or use waiver claims.

That's my suggestion for a format change.

Also, if my team somehow makes the playoffs and even wins a playoff matchup than good god that proves how flawed this format is. I have a second tier SP2 as my ace, 96 closers and 75% of my batters will be dumpster dive free agents.

People can give opinions on all of this or offer suggestions. If you're HQ  please keep it under 10 paragraphs.

I'm back in

Quick Thoughts
1: Favor Daily Lineups
2: I'd be fine with a 30-40 Second clock. Enough to search but fast enough to move along a bit.
3: In favor of the NA Spots especially for prospects who may be 'ready' but won't get called up until late May or early June

45 seconds.

15 was retarded last year, so 30 would only be half as retarded. Let's not be retarded.

as an actual retarded person, I don't want to be retarded, so I agree let's not be retarded. I already set the time to 60 seconds so if we want 45 we can do that. Retarded.

Any other changes people need to break down in the simplest possible ways because beyond raising the innings pitched and some sort of roster changes it's all gibberish to me.

Just need to hear from BZ, Flik, Hawk and MFer.

I'm in favour of increasing the Innings pitch to at least 20 if we're keeping the pitchers at the same number if we're decreasing the pitchers leave it as it is.

Proposed Setup:
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL SP SP SP RP RP P P BN BN BN BN DL DL NA NA

This doesn't look bad to me neither does the option of keeping the current one and doing daily lineups but I know some people don't want to do that. Daily lineups are much easier this year going by nba league so I think it would be less of an issue.

I'm fine with the latter. I know MLB would probably benefit more from Daily if managers wanted to weigh splits heavier (e.g. playing a Home guy over a Road guy, etc.) and personally, I've used the 'Set Lineup for the Week' option in the NBA Keeper league myself with the benefit that you can do it at any point in the week so if you forget Monday, you can still set the rest of the week for Tuesday or Wednesday.

Ok so we need one more person based on the assumption that MFer is indeed in. If you're interested please say so here or PM me.

I'm going to ask people during the ppv tomorrow or Monday about what changes they want to the league because there should be at least half the league there hopefully. You can also voice your opinion.

Proposal 1 is as I understand it:

Change it from:
Current Setup:
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL UTL SP SP RP RP P P P P BN BN BN BN BN BN DL DL

Proposed Setup:
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL SP SP SP RP RP P P BN BN BN BN DL DL NA NA
Both are weekly lineups and I assume we keep it at 18 innings pitched since there'd be less pitchers.

Proposal 2 would be
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL UTL SP SP RP RP P P P P BN BN BN BN BN BN DL DL
Keep the current line but with Daily Lineups and an increase to between 20-25 innings pitched.

Voting for Krankor's set up (24 Players Total, NA Spots)

Proposal 2 would be
C 1B 2B SS 3B OF OF OF UTL SP SP SP RP RP P P BN BN BN BN DL DL NA NA
Keep the current line but with Daily Lineups and an increase to between 20-25 innings pitched.

The 2 NA Spots because a lot of talent can be shuttled down to AAA level before getting called up in May or June. It'd allow teams to get legitimate talent who will play this year without having to scour the waiver wire/free agent list daily to get the jump.

I'm more focused on the Daily Lineup aspect so I'm not hardcore married to any roster construction setup but Krankor's would be pretty ideal.

It should be set to no maximum/unlimited based on the settings I'm seeing. HQ has co-commissioner status so he can double-check to see if I'm missing anything.

Thinking of maybe a cap of 4 moves per week considering it's a Daily league? This way we'd avoid people literally grabbing/dumping a scarce position e.g. SS or 3B like 6 days in a row and skewing the system.

You'd still be able to 'stream' but where would be more important and most teams should have enough studs/bench to rotate within their own squads.

EDIT: Krankor's other league has 6 as the max per week so I think anywhere from 4-6 would work since we're looking at just 10 teams.

I split the difference and made it a maximum of 5 acquisitions per week. That way, a team can replace an injured player and stream a couple positions if they desire.

Gonna ride my pitching studs to victory: Chris Sale, Gerrit Cole, James Paxton, Stephen Strasburg, and Cole Hamels? DOMINANCE COMMENCE

Was actually debating between Bryce Harper and Sale for my 1st Pick so I was pleasantly surprised when I managed to have Sale fall into my lap. I prioritized power with almost everybody hitting at least 23 HR last year except C Wilson Ramos (15 in 382 AB) and an injured Miguel Cabrera.

I'm hoping for a fluke 25 HR year from Miggy but if he bombs, I still have Justin Smoak to pick up the slack. I also still have enough power bats with Harper, Khris Davis, Nelson Cruz, and Eugenio Suarez.

No, I was at NAIT when it happened. Of all places for it to happen, last place I would've expected it was my college.

I'll deal with what I've got my own fault in a lot of ways for the mess (of a life) I've got.

if anyone doesn't realize the season starts tomorrow because I guess there are games in Japan. So set those lineups!

Also just a note that the "Opening Day" slate starts Thursday, March 28th I believe for the rest of MLB.

Thought I had a shot at surging past you for the 1 seed in the final week but looks like you got a good push late.

Our Previous Champions:
2014: Krankor defeats Bored
2015: CWM defeats 909
2016: Bored defeats CWM
2017: Bored defeats Krankor
2018: MFer deafeats Steak
2019:

could we have our first non-Bored Two-time Champ? Krankor and I are the only former Champs in contention. We're starting to get a nice little history going though.
