Losing one player shouldn't hurt this much, but it does. You know why? Because this team is constructed like a leaning tower of shit. Fuck you Sam Presti. Barkley is right: too many one way players.
Go to any other coach in the league and tell them they're starting Perkins AND Sefalosha and they'd laugh their ass off at how absurd that is. You have two starters that can't fucking play offense and one (perkins) that is supposed to be able to play defense but sucks at that too. He's the worst starting center in the league, but the entire organization has a boner for him.
The bench players suck and can't play both ways, two starters suck and can't play both ways and the coach is a fucking moron that can't adjust to anything.
I want Durant and Westbrook to give Presti the double birds for ruining their early careers on their way out the door.
I watched RAW. I thought it sucked. The usual problems and such.

Well, when Durant goes to the Lakers or something and kills OKC, then the team can move back to Seattle!

I want a new coach, a new GM, a new shooting guard, a new bench and possibly a new center. IS THAT TOO MUCH TO ASK?

Serious question for Thunder fans: they seem to play really well when Collison is in but, even without Ibaka, he can't sniff 15 minutes of game time. Why is that?

The more minutes he plays the less effective he is?  He's 33, a bench role player who's energy needs to be conserved

Doesn't seem to stop them with Derek Fisher and it's not like they use Collison in crunch time. Just seems it'd be worth trying to stretch their only decent big man when the Spurs are dropping like 60 a game in the paint. Makes no sense.

It's the same with the NHL. The Rangers and Canadiens played tonight after playing game 2 on Monday and game 4 is on Sunday.

Fisher's only playing 15 a game in the playoffs (and hasn't been good).  Collison is good in his role, but I'm not sure playing him 25-30 minutes a night is viable.  I like Collison, have liked him since he played at Kansas, but he's a bench role player in the NBA most effective in that role, and his best days are behind him.  He's -22 in +/- when he's been on the court against the Spurs, doubt that # would improve with him playing more minutes.

The real answer is.....OKC is screwed.  They don't have an answer for San Antonio, and they don't have the depth to match them.  Ibaka going down was a death sentence, but I don't think they had a realistic shot against the Spurs even with him out there.

I can answer OG's question: because scott brooks. He sucks.

This isn't all because Ibaka is out. If it is then he needs to kick down Presti's door and demand a fat raise. This team is badly constructed with a horrible coach.

You don't overpay Ibaka.

I question the leadership and mental toughness of Durant and Westbrook at this point. Coach can only do so much. At some point, the players gotta step up. They have been flat out embarrassed so far.

I know you don't overpay. That's why I'm saying this isn't all his fault like a lot of excuse makers are trying to make it out to be. If this epic fail is ALL because of Ibaka then the dude is criminally underpaid and needs to win the next four defensive player of the year awards.

I do question Durant and Westbrook's leadership, at the same time but I don't think they have a strong leader coaching this team either. I think a strong leader could get this team to buckle down, play defense, play hard and control bad Russ.
Right now it's just Scott Brooks rolling a ball out and saying "Get em!" and he may call an offense but if he is it's unimaginative and they aren't running it.

And again this team has too many one-way players. They have two starters that can't score (Sefalosha and Perkins). They're "defensive specialists" but Perkins can't even do that anymore.

The bench has guys like Jeremy Lamb and Perry Jones who might be good, but we'll never know because Brooks hardly played them in the regular season and he's really bad at player development.

So they need to play! Brooks won't do it though.

I guess Ibaka is now "day to day". He's not the root of their problems but I guess he'll help. I think San Antonio is on a mission to win it all.

Like Brett Favre.

I was using my sportscaster hyperbole. "This team is on a mission to win it! A MISSION!"

"If they score more points than the other team they will win this game!"

"They're going to want to win the next game if they want a chance of coming out of this 3-0 hole."

Lamb and Jones are prob better than Sefolosha

Lamb has enough talent to average 17 to 20 points a game but his problems have always been that he's pretty lazy and not always dialed into a game. But under a smart enough coach he should be a key role player for any team in the league at this point in his career, or if he was playing under one of the intense demands perfection from any players involved their teams rotation type of leaders like Kobe, Jordan, Bird, or Magic.

The Thunder have neither of those things.

I figured Ibaka would pull a Willis Reed in OKC. At least the Spurs won't be caught off guard because they never believed he'd be out for the series. But man, the Spurs are gonna have a helluva opportunity to break OKC if Ibaka plays and they still lose. A 3-0 hole is enough to do that regardless, but Ibaka is the last big card OKC has to play. I also get the sense that OKC buys into what happened in 2012 a little too much not fully understanding how different the situation is. So the faster the Spurs can get that third win the better.

Ibaka must have got himself some pretty sweet PEDs to suddenly be day-to-day.

The autocorrect on this phone wanted to change Ibaka to Obama.

How much longer are we—and I mean "we" in a general sense—going to pretend PEDs don't happen in the NBA? Nick Calathes got busted, and what, before him Hedo Turkoglu? Am I missing someone from the last few years? Seems to be an insignificant amount compared to other sports. Friggin' Westbrook is running around like the picture of perfect health but he's had three knee surgeries in less than one calendar year. No one thinks this is odd?

LIRL Scott Brooks is really going to sacrifice Ibaka's career to preserve his own.

Jesus Christ what an idiotic organization from top to bottom if this goes down since they decided to invest so much into him. Pop is just going to post up whoever he's covering early to wear down his left calf. Then Paker is going to be slashing even more so than usual.

Or I guess they'll do the bullshit David Lee move and play him for two five minute stretches to excite the crowd and team and they'll try to ride that energy. I can only hope their at least this smart to do this simple routine.

If only someone could hook Greg Oden up with enough PEDs to so he could play at least 15 minutes a game.

Also Derrick Rose should "work out" with Westbrook in the offseason.

Knowing his luck, Rose would be out for a year dealing with post-concussion syndrome after launching his skull into the rim.

And that's the other thing: regardless of whether Ibaka's PED'ed to the gills, his long-term health/career isn't worth sacrificing to prevent OKC from being swept. Because they're not going to the finals. I know the stakes weren't as high then, but even the Bobcats knew all was lost and spared Al Jefferson's health in game 4 in the first round against the Heat.
