Monday Mixtape for July 8, 2013

Welcome to July!

Thanks for those who gave feedback to the last mixtape – it was quite a task to get all the technical things in order as far as video embedding and so forth but hopefully the kinks have all been worked out.  I skipped over last week but I have a nice mix for you this week – I scratched a double artist appearance at the last minute but I compromised with myself by putting a Smiths and a Morrissey track on this week’s playlist but it’s forgivable since the band’s style was quite different than what Morrissey would produce solo.

As a matter of fact, it was brought to my attention that I had a lot of British stuff on the playlist and damned if I didn’t!  Well, the British know how to get it done musically, and if you aren’t on board with that yet than you may not get much enjoyment from this series!

This week has some popular radio cuts, some “one hit” wonders, some stuff you may have never heard before, some old stuff, and some new(ish) stuff – as I said last time, something for everyone!
