WWE NXT – September 11th, 2013

WWE NXT – 09/11/2013

Enzo Amore’s entrance video is showing as the show opens.  Enzo and Colin Cassidy come out for tag team action.  The newly face team rehashes their last appearance being assaulted by Lefort’s group.

Sylvester Lefort comes out and gives a speech about his talent and introduces Scott Dawson and Alexander Rusev, who come out to Dawson’s theme.

Rusev has Enzo’s name on his board and he does his pre-match ritual as the announce team of Tony Dawson and William Regal analyze.

Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy vs. Scott Dawson & Alexander Rusev

Dawson and Amore start off the match.  They tie up before Amore gets a quick hit in on Dawson.  Amore quickly brings in his 7-foot partner, Colin Cassidy, before bouncing along in glee on the apron.

Cassidy works over “Captain Roughneck” and starts mocking Dawson to Rusev.  Interesting how much personality Cassidy has started showing since being paired with Amore.

Enzo is tagged back in as Regal talks about how there is no one more annoying than Amore as Dawson takes him down.  Dawson brings in Rusev and takes another shot at Enzo before leaving the ring.

Rusev starts doing his quick dropping headbutts before picking up and tossing Enzo.

Dawson, who utilized great, quick tags when teaming with Garrett Dylan, makes another good tag with Rusev.  He knocks Cassidy off the apron and tags Rusev back in.

The new team comes up with a tandem move where Dawson lifts Amore up and Rusev nails a spinning kick before Dawson tries going for a flipping pin.

The ref is trying to break what Lefort’s group is doing and DQs them.  Rusev is attempting the pin and not getting off Amore, who actually won the match.

Winners: Enzo Amore & Colin Cassidy

The Jersey duo celebrate as Lefort’s group looks on angry from the ring.

Match graphics show for Leo Kruger vs. Xavier Woods as well as Paige against Sasha Banks.

NXT Champion Bo Dallas is introduced, much to the chagrin of the crowd.

Bo can’t get words out over the boos but he starts thanking the Bo-lievers who have been well-wishing him since he was hurt at Summerslam Axxess.

Bo talks about being a mentor to Sami and how he wishes he could give Zayn a match when Bo is cleared to compete.  It won’t be a title match because Sami has to earn it.  Bo keeps up his sappy speech as the crowd continues to get viscerally angry.

Renee Young is backstage with CJ Parker.  Renee asks about his problems with Tyler Breeze.  Parker starts talking about inner love versus outer love and all kinds of talk about how they clash.  As he yammers on, Breeze attacks from behind and then takes a selfie of himself posing on Parker. Renee looks on in shock, so Breeze takes another selfie there before taking off as Renee tries to get help for Parker.

Sasha Banks comes out, still acting bubbly.

Paige is out next wearing her Women’s Championship as William Regal tells us he has known her since she was three months old.

Sasha Banks vs. Paige

Dawson mentions this being a non-title match.  The crowd starts chanting Happy Birthday and we are informed that it had just been Paige’s birthday.

Regal tells us Banks went to the same wrestling school as Triple H as Paige takes an early advantage.  Sasha gets a knee in before Paige starts throwing Banks around.

The two Divas put on a flurry of quick pins and reversals before they get to their feet.  Banks locks Paige around the waist from behind and Paige tries to fight her way out.  The two back into a corner, allowing Paige to do her elbow flurry before she stomps on Sasha in the corner and screams at her.

Sasha knocks Paige down but is still too weak to get up.  Both women are on the mat as NXT goes to commercial.

Banks has Paige wrapped up with some body scissors and the crowd tries to rally on Paige.  Irish whip and Banks knocks Paige down.  Two count.

Banks wraps on another chinlock/body scissors combo to make the champion struggle.  We hear again about Banks training like Triple H as she continues to control the match.  A few slams, a failed pin attempt and Sasha goes back to her submission combo.

I don’t know how far Full Sail is from the Impact Zone but the crowd starts putting themselves over just singing “we will rock you” instead of paying attention to the match.

Paige gets back in the match and does her knees on the apron spot.  The two back in the ring, Sasha goes for a crossbody, which Paige rolls through and turns into a successful pin.

Winner: Paige

Sasha is clearly upset with herself on the mat while Paige celebrates.  Paige sees Sasha and goes to console Sasha.  Sasha want nothing to do with Paige.  Paige extends her hand for a handshake and the crowd chants Hug It Out.  Eventually, Paige leaves before Sasha Banks snaps.  Sasha attacks Paige from behind before hitting a big neckbreaker to lay out the champion.

Backstage Sasha cements her turn, thanking Summer Rae for bringing the rage out.  She hugs Summer as the cameras go back to the arena.

Leo Kruger enters as a replay is shown of Kruger standing above Xavier Woods backstage last week.

Xavier Woods makes his way out and his quest for revenge doesn’t stop his dancing, nor the awkward white guys they show dancing in the crowd.

Leo Kruger vs. Xavier Woods

Kruger spends the initial part of the match staying away from Woods, ducking into the ropes and going to the outside.  Kruger on the outside puts a finger on his head and spins.  As the announcers speculate if Kruger is indeed, a little teapot, Kruger does it again and we hear him call himself a little teapot.

Woods grabs Leo by the hair and gets him in the ring.  Kruger, once in the ring, starts focusing on the left arm of Woods.  Regal points out that while Kruger works over the left arm, the right arm is the dominant arm of Woods.

Dawson discuss both men are close to being called up to the WWE roster as Woods tries to fight his way free.  Kruger maintains control and really quiets the crowd just keeping Woods down with a constant armbar.

Woods finally breaks free but Kruger nails him in the face with a knee.  Woods starts running the ropes and Xavier hits a beautiful hurricanrana.  Kruger scoots to the outside and Woods tries to dive on him but Leo moves.  Xavier writhes in pain on the outside as the show goes to commercial.

Leo stomps on Xavier as Regal fills us in on Kruger dominating throughout the commercial.

Kruger nails a variation suplex and rakes the eyes before going back to the armbar again.  Kruger shifts to a hammerlock.  After a while he starts working over Xavier’s fingers.

The crowd seems to be out of the match when Leo controls and I think it sounds as if they are randomly doing a “WE WANT RYDER” chant.

Kruger starts dropping knees to the back on Woods and working the arm.  Dawson tries to telling an  anecdote where he asked Kruger about strategy for this match but rather heard about Kruger’s love of unicorns and panda bears.

Xavier Woods stays alive as Kruger keeps the match pace slow, although he switches it up with a few slams.

Kruger ascends to the second rope but Xavier rolls out of the way.  Kruger throws a punch and Woods ducks.  Woods is truly selling the “dead arm” and doing everything with only one arm.

He starts throwing kicks and is in a good spot.  He goes for the Honor Roll but Kruger catches him and hits a spinebuster.  Woods kicks out.

Kruger starts warming up for his slice but he misses.  Woods nails Lost in the Woods.  2 count.

Woods rallies the crowd, still selling the arm.  He yells its Morphing Time.  This time he connects with the Honor Roll.

Woods with another strong move and he gets the victory.

Winner: Xavier Woods

Woods cannot move his left arm but he still has a one-armed dance party.
