2021: A Fork in the Road for the GOP

I think that, like "The Farmers," Montana will continue to vote for Republicans.
They will for the Presidential but it's a different story underneath and at lower levels, which is a key factor for these types of states that are "purple" and can swing from Republican to Democrat.

Since 2006, they've voted Democrat for the US Senate 4 times (including 2012 & 2018) and voted Democrats for Governor from 2004-2016.

That's why there's so much money thrown at these sub-Presidential elections because a lot more of these states run "purple" than they do pure Democrat or pure Republican all the way down the line.

I don't think these knuckleheads will know what to do once their false god is gone. Hopefully it's back to the fringes because any kind of sane person left a long time ago or were forced out of the party, and these fools know nothing about actual governance.

Come to think of it, is there any kind of annual Democratic/Lefty pow-wow that gets press coverage as much as these do? You've got this *and* CPAC getting attention every year.

Don't know how big a deal this is but I feel like the impact is more just a Democrat winning in general and the amount they won by.

"Democrat Taylor Rehmet won a special election for the Texas state Senate on Saturday, flipping a reliably Republican district that President Donald Trump won by 17 points in 2024.

Rehmet, a labor union leader and veteran, easily defeated Republican Leigh Wambsganss, a conservative activist, in the Fort Worth-area district. With almost all votes counted, Rehmet had a comfortable lead of more than 14 percentage points.

Rehmet’s victory allows him to serve only until early January, and he must win the November general election to keep the seat for a full four-year term. The Texas Legislature is not set to reconvene until 2027, and the GOP still will have a comfortable majority."

Snuffbox, do you not also have multiple images of dismembered Palestinian babies burned into your brain for the rest of your life? Is that why you are the way you are? Maybe it's just ignorance and not a lack of empathy. Reading your other posts, it's the only thing I can believe.

I once saw a man pick up this sort of soup that used to be his daughter. Sometimes I'm forced to remember it at really inopportune times.
