He's been somebody I've long liked and am glad the Patriots stole him from Miami. Has a 1,200+ yard year in his career and 14.0 YPR over his career so he's a legitimate threat. I also like that they got another draft pick for this year while giving up only a 3rd next year (something they can get via Compensatory or a trade too).

I love Parker but don't fool yourself. The 1,200 yard season was his contract year and outside of that, he has never played a full season. Outside of that one year, he has never broken 800 yards either. He is ALWAYS hurt, plenty of times he has started a game and was out by the second quarter with hamstring issues.

Wow. RIP to the young man. It's just too bad it's gonna be somewhat overshadowed by people talking crazy about him (Schefter, Brandt).

Yeesh. You're not kidding...if you're going to say something stupid, why bother saying anything at all?

And why even interview a front office executive who hasn't worked in 35 years to comment on current NFL? Well, I guess football media isn't too different from wrestling media now that I look at it like that.

EDIT: someone else covered the Dan Snyder situation on the last page. It has gotten worse though.

$5M in deposits the team kept instead of returning them to ticket holders, while actively making it impossible to even try. They've got a former VP who's totally spilling all the tea.

Are the Browns gonna be able to afford 51 other players in two years?

Browns signed CB Denzel Ward to a five-year, $100.5 million contract extension.

Apparently if/when Deebo gets traded he also no longer wants to play RB. This would make me more than slightly cautious to give up a ton for him.

This is one stupid ass franchise. Like they actually watched this guy play didn't they? He could be as good as Deebo if they had a quarterback. It's hilarious when teams like this draft a bad QB and just refuse to give up on him. Instead they'll trade the whole team and coaching staff cause it's all their faults.

Sounds more like the Giants are just fed up with him as a person, which obviously lies in a very poor scouting job from the scouts/HC/GM:

"Toney has opted not to take part in the team’s voluntary offseason program under new coach Brian Daboll, which could serve as the last straw for the Giants.

According to Leonard, “There was some internal momentum for bailing on Toney during his tumultuous rookie season a year ago. His commitment came into question behind the scenes during his rookie year due to lack of playbook study, poor meeting behavior, and frequent injuries.”

Toney had foot issues that limited his work in the spring after a late start due to a delay in signing his contract. He then dealt with COVID-19 and a hamstring injury during training camp. Toney expressed frustration with a limited role early in the regular season before missing six of the final seven games with another bout of COVID, an oblique injury, and a shoulder injury."

Guy obviously has a ton of legitimate talent but I hope he's able to mature a bit and understand the off-the-field work he has to put into it. If he can do that, sky is the limit though, but the guys who don't put in the work and expect to just ball out on Sundays end up having short careers for a reason. Also concerning that he had injury issues in college and that has carried over to the NFL too already with hamstring, ankle, and quad injuries.

The Giants downfall started when they started viewing the draft as "hey what the fuck? Why not?" after the 2nd Super Bowl win in 2011. Eerily similar to what happened in the 90s after the Soup wins in 86 and 90. Terrible drafting the past decade has killed the team. Also similar to the 90s decline is the inability to adapt to the times. George Young dismissed free agency in the 90s and killed the franchise and now the Giants still think it's 2007 or whatever.

Going to take a complete philosophical change like what happened with Coughlin and Reese nearly 20 years ago to turn things around.

I remember from like 1992-1997 they refused to draft a QB high and settled for guys like the immortal Dave Brown (a 1992 Supplemental Draft pick), 1996 4th Rounder Danny Kannell, and long-time backup Kent Graham (8th Round pick in 1992).

Houston traded CB Lonnie Johnson to Kansas City for a 2024 7th Round Pick.
Carolina signed KR Andre Roberts to a 1 year deal.
Baltimore and Kansas City handed UFA Tenders to Justin Houston & Melvin Ingram respectively. If they are signed prior to training camp, both teams are eligible for compensatory picks otherwise they get exclusive negotiation rights.
