Not sure if an emergency room physician counts, but yesterday I heard the ER doc telling his nurses, "if you think the DA here has the time to prosecute that shit, you got another thing coming. They are already overworked and back logged." Then they noticed me standing there and went back to work.

And the governor seat is up this year. Bill Lee is likely to retain, but he's facing competition, and the growing rate of residents moving to the area from California and the Northeast may help the state trend purple.

Btw in this era of digital surveillance I suggest if you plan on transporting people from state to state, you do all your meetings with the group in person and not online. Otherwise you'll find yourself in prison mad fast, you aren't just going to get away with planning crimes (that shouldn't be crimes) using the internet or your phone.

Until they talk about expanding the court I see no reason to vote for them. That is literally the only thing that solves this problem. SCOTUS will strike down every law they don't like.

What's the workaround? Because it seems, in my limited understanding, that a state cannot charge you for a crime if the location wherein it occurred it's either (a) outside of their jurisdiction, or (b) legal. For example, if Texas were to try to prosecute somebody for traveling to Oregon for an abortion, how would that not be a violation of jurisdictional limits (as Texas state laws do not apply to Oregon), the Right to Travel (as ruled by Kent v. Dulles, which allows citizens to travel freely unless under investigation with due process), the Fourth Amendment (protection against unreasonable search and seizure, ie. "traveling out of state is not probable cause to assume illegal activities have occurred"), and/or the Fourteenth Amendment (which Roe was ruled under, but still does not allow prosecution for activities that occurred in jurisdictions where such things are legal)?
