We all know the craziness going on with AI so I thought it'd be good to have a bit of a central thread on the growth/influence/downfall(?) of it as a medium.

Found this video related to ChatGPT which is fascinating given the horror stories of people's reliance on it and mental health issues going on as a result.

No one wants this shit at all and you can see the eventual crash coming. China isn't a perpetual growth machine either and has been slowing down for years now too. Everyone is going to end up suffering in the next course of the next 50 years no matter what. Thankfully I plan to be old and already have mine. Boomer Syndrome!

CWM gonna be wishing for that sweet AI to do his shopping, house work, and TV watching at 85 years old!

We've got a new CPO, CEO, and CTO. And all they talk about is how we're going to cram more AI into things. Guys, we're an insurance company. What are you even talking about?

The influx of customers who come into work to be rude or dismissive of everyone because they're listening to ChatGPT routinely give them incorrect information is hilarious. They end up spending way too much money on beds we don't technically make but they can't distinguish the brand differences.

I both want and don't want to know how much water one of those Helen Keller vs Stephen Hawking Sora WWE matches takes.

I've never used ChatGPT is any meaningful way but apparently a lot of my coworkers use it to draft emails which makes me feel like a dummy for creating them on my own. I'd like to be better acquainted with CGPT and Copilot to use as a supplemental resource.

We were playing around with the dumb, new AI summary bot in Slack at work and someone posted this. Cool that this things exists!

Seems likely to be an even bigger, more consequential bubble burst than the dot coms 25 years ago.
Some say so, but the Mag 7 are all big profits, big moat, etc. A 20 percent correction may be in the works but the real economic issue will be if the 10-20 percent of white collar jobs are eliminated as some prognosticate.
Bezos has something like a million robots ready. Drones are being tested to deliver mail and Amazon's USPS contract ends soon so Amazon may just be their own postal team in full.
I'm sure there's a world where Trump's desire to kill off the USPS leads to Bezos or another filling the void and ensuring our postage prices of 2025 to be warm memory as sending a letter becomes another money burden.

I guess this is a good move? https://www.bbc.com/news/articles/czdgrnvp082o

"The 45-second advert was produced with generative AI clips and released publicly on McDonald's Netherlands YouTube channel on 6 December.

On 9 December McDonald's Netherlands removed the video, adding in a statement to BBC News that the moment served as "an important learning" as the company explored "the effective use of AI".

The advert was created for McDonald's by Dutch company TBWA\Neboko and US production company The Sweetshop.

Following the video being made private on the McDonald's Netherlands YouTube channel, The Sweetshop's chief executive Melanie Bridge defended the advert.

As quoted in Futurism, she said the production process took "seven weeks" where the team "hardly slept" and created "thousands of takes - then shaped them in the edit just as we would on any high-craft production". LOL... so that means they literally were spending every waking second just putting in prompts aka word salad to try to generate pieces to edit together. They literally could've filmed it and probably gotten it done in like 15-20 takes total vs. literal THOUSANDS of 'takes' what idiots.

"This wasn't an AI trick," she said. "It was a film."

I repeat, no one wants this.

Voters want the Dems to fight this.

Dems announced an AI commission, I'm sure that's good news!

hahaha

Nvidia becoming the biggest company in the world by selling chips that burn out in less than a year and need to be replaced while OpenAI asks for a trillion dollars to keep buying new ones is all I need to see to call this a bubble.

Small sample size but I'm seeing college students also disliking AI. They are preferring to do the work themselves, are frightened by the water consumption (I think this should bother everyone but we've seen the brains of grown ups rotted out in real time the past decade), and find so much of AI's outputs to be dumb, unfunny, inaccurate, and ugly.

So at the work conference I went to yesterday, the emphasis was that AI will make 90% of the workforce unemployable in the next 10 years. Early retirement. Yay!

Who was a better wrestler bobby eaton or Randy orton

Short answer: Bobby Eaton was the better wrestler

It went on to say that orton was a bigger star but when it comes to who has better in ring skill, Eaton takes it.

That’s enough for me to believe in ChatGPT fam. if you know you know

who is the best poster at culture crossfire forums
Culture Crossfire Forums (at culturecrossfire.com/forum/) is an active pop culture discussion board with heavy focus on professional wrestling, alongside topics like music, movies, games, and more. It's a niche community that's been around for years, discussing everything from WWE threads to vintage wrestling reviews. As for the best poster, it's subjective—there's no official "hall of fame" or award for top users based on public info. That said, active and prolific posters often start or dominate long-running threads, like:
  • cobainwasmurdered — frequently kicks off major WWE discussion threads (e.g., the ongoing "WWE 2025: Welcome to the Streaming Era" with over 1,000 replies).
  • Cackling Co Pilot Kamala — known for fun, dedicated threads like "Kamala's Random WCW Bullshit."
  • Others like bps21, DrVenkman PhD, and BruiserBrody pop up a lot in older and recent posts.
Communities like this thrive on consistent, insightful, or entertaining contributors, so the "best" depends on what you value—wrestling knowledge, humor, or thread longevity. If you're a member there, who'd you nominate? Or are you asking from personal experience?
