Feelin' generous?

Anyways, they were pretty good. Not most receptive crowd though. Mike even commented on it with "Are gus even enjoying yourselves" and "I think a lot of them are asleep".

Good, and in some ways, surprising setlist. Which was:

The Real Thing
From Out Of Nowhere
Land of Sunshine
Caffine
Evidence
Poker Face
Faster Disco
Suprise! You're Dead!
Easy
Last Cup Of Sorrow
Midlife Crisis
Introduce Yourself
Gentle Art Of Making Enemies
Take This Bottle
Ashes To Ashes
Cuckoo For Caka
Be Agressive
Epic

Encore:
The Olympic Theme
Stripsearch
We Care A Lot

No Diggin' The Grave surprised the hell out of me, and Take This Bottle seemed an odd choice that the crowd didn't like. As expected, the crowd only really responded to Epic, Easy and Midlife Crisis. Shame really. Would have loved to have been there, but this was the next best thing.

Here's to a proper full tour!

I listened to the show in MP3 form, sound quality could have been better but all in all it was fucking kick ass.

You missed that they opened with a cover of 'Reunited' by Peaches and Herb, hahaha.

I'm pretty bummed out that the whole run is over in Europe

Haha yeah I didn't know that one.

I bet they carry this tour over into next year and do the US.

They were so good at Reading, definitely one of the best acts I saw all weekend.
I know I'm a bit late to the party, but I'd never realised just how great Mike Patton is until I saw him live.
The crowd was pretty small for them, everyone was off seeing the 'amazing' Kings of Leon.

There's some footage over at http://www.bbc.co.uk/readingandleeds/2009/artists/faithnomore/
Set list:

Midnight Cowboy
From Out Of Nowhere
Be Aggressive
Caffine
Evidence
Surprise! You're Dead!
Last Cup of Sorrow
Malpractice
Eastenders
Easy
Midlife Crisis
Epic
RV
Gentle Art of Making Enemies
King For A Day
Ashes to Ashes
Just A Man
Chariots of Fire
Land of Sunshine
We Care Alot

Whereabouts in the crowd were you? I was right in the middle, 5 rows from the front. I got fucking crushed! Awesome set though.

If I had any complaints, it would be that they didn't play some of the songs I'd have loved to hear.

I thought the crowd was good, not as big as Them Crooked Vultures brought in though. And I'm glad I missed out on Kings of Leon, they pulled a hissy fit and walked off stage at the end.

I Started a Joke (Bee Gees cover)
The Gentle Art of Making Enemies

Crowd wise I was over to stage right, about in line with the second barrier that splits the crowd.

I grabbed that set list from the BBC page and didn't really look it over too carefully. Odd that they'd have it wrong.

I didn't think the crowd was nearly as big as I was expecting for TCV. Did you notice the gate that was put in place for the Saturday a little was back from the NME stage? My thoughts were put there in case there was a bit of a stampede to see TCV but that obviously didn't happen.

So many people didn't have a clue they were playing. There was a couple of emo girls behind me for 'You Me At Six' and I had to tell them they'd be waiting an awfully long time.

I was desperate to get tickets for TCV's tour in December. I came home for my lunch break on Friday at 1, tickets having gone on sale at 10am and they were completely sold out for Portsmouth. To say I was bummed out would be an understatement.

Holy shit they're playing Portsmouth? Ah man, that would have been so easy for me to get too. I'll have to fish around to get some tickets now.

Sad to say that the only other highlight of the festival was Radiohead opening with Creep.

Yeah, it would have been easy for me to get to Portsmouth. Usually the closest place to catch a decent gig is Bristol. I suppose Southampton/Portsmouth get the ocassional good ones, but they're few and far between. So, it would have been nice to catch TCV.
If I can find tickets for £50 a piece I'd jump all over it.

Holy crap, all tickets are going for like £100.

I mean, they're good, but I wouldn't pay that much to see them.
