You see some people victim blaming after an event like this. I feel like every crowd crush is 90% the fault of the organizers. I would be sympathetic to Travis Scott the performer. But as organizer of the event, he has liability up the ass.

stories are out there that Drake & Travis Scott both hit up a strip club after the concert.

They went to a DAVE N BUSTERS after the show not a STRIP CLUB! Then left when they heard about fatalities.

Drake, however went to a prescheduled after party at a strip club and dropped $1 MILLION (tm Dr. Evil) the NEXT NIGHT which is even worse tbh. But I guess some people process grief differently. Jfc.

Honestly though, at event of that scale with the stupid crazy lighting and stuff that I'm assuming they had going, I could definitely see how he didn't notice until hours after the show! Sometimes crazy shit happens in the crowd at shows that I do that I don't notice while I'm onstage and I'm playing venues that are 1000x smaller (and incidents are 1000x less crazy than this FYI).

BUT like al said, if you're organizing an event of that scale, it is on you to be able to see if crowd crushing is happening.

Ideally you put people in charge of monitoring the crowd who can communicate with you if needed. At Hillsborough the failure was partially police who are/were monitoring from a control box above the crowd where they can see what's happening. When you leave that in charge of the performer on the stage you're already inviting problems.

Yeah...producing a documentary (even at the local news level) on an event less than a month after it happened seems kind of irresponsible. And it's insane that Hulu would pick up a cheapie local news documentary but maybe there's a bunch of low rent stuff like that on there that I just don't know about!

I don't blame them for wanting to tell the story after the huge success of the Fyer Fest docs but yeah, this was way too soon.
