Which songs were number #1 when you were born + your subsequent birthdays? Keep in mind the listed date for the end of that week (so January 7 would span Jan 1-7). It actually doesn't take that long (well, unless you're one of the elder statesmen of this board :p) Mine, for example:

“Didn’t We Almost Have It All” - Whitney Houston
“Love Bites” - Def Leppard
“Miss You Much” - Janet Jackson
“Close To You” - Maxi Priest
“Good Vibrations” - Marky Mark and the Funky Bunch featuring Loleatta Holloway
“End of the Road” - Boyz II Men
“Dreamlover” - Mariah Carey
“I’ll Make Love to You” - Boyz II Men
“Fantasy” - Mariah Carey
“Macarena” (Bayside Boys Mix) - Los Del Rio
“4 Seasons of Loneliness” - Boyz II Men
“The First Night” - Monica
“Unpretty” - TLC
“Music” - Madonna
“Fallin’” - Alicia Keys
“A Moment Like This” - Kelly Clarkson
“Baby Boy” - Beyonce featuring Sean Paul
“Goodies” - Ciara featuring Petey Pablo
“Gold Digger” - Kanye West featuring Jamie Foxx
“SexyBack” - Justin Timberlake
“Crank That (Soulja Boy)” - Soulja Boy Tell ‘Em
“Whatever You Like” - T.I.
“I Gotta Feeling” - Black Eyed Peas
“Just the Way You Are” - Bruno Mars
“Moves Like Jagger” - Maroon 5 featuring Christina Aguilera
“One More Night” - Maroon 5
“Wrecking Ball” - Miley Cyrus

Gah, it turned to shit towards the end. I just missed having a couple more Mariah songs on my list too.

Well, with very few exceptions over the last 30 years, America has really loved R&B/Hip-Hop during the summer. Also, the only song I wasn't familiar with by name was "The Flame" by Cheap Trick. I listened to it and was like "Oh yeah this song, I thought this was Richard Marx".

I can't believe Harlem Shake was ever #1. Who was really listening to that beyond the 30 second stupid youtube videos? People were really jamming to that song in seriousness?

I think the charts factor in iTunes sales which is probably how that happened.

I really thought the '90s were going to be a parade of songs I loved, but hoo-boy was I wrong. The '80s was the best decade represented here, and that's saying something. I'm actually amazed at how many songs I just don't even know.
