The Billboard all time "Top 100 Hot list" is a dramatically different list. Janet Jackson beats out her brother. The overplayed to death Maroon 5 makes the top 25, Chubby Checker's gimmick songs earns him a slot.

Elvis drops like 10 slots on this list. Bruce Springsteen moves up 50 plus slots.

Surprised but not shocked at Chicago. They were never the biggest band of the year but they had a solid 20 plus year run of hits.

Guess there was no room for REM with Herb Alpert on the list.

Billboard’s lists are less objectionable than Rolling Stones cause at least they are presumably based on verifiable chart success rather than whatever agenda Jann Wenner or his cronies want to push this year.
