Snuka worked Northeast shindies until 2014! There's a chance that there's a Snuka-Metal Maniac match from ten years later than that vid!

Matches you didn't think existed thread crosspost.

I forgot how freewheeling the Mark Curtis benefit was.

I always confuse this with the WCW house show tribute that Jericho talks about in his book where Flair showed up and made Brian Hildebrand an honorary Horseman. Actual tribute show had Jericho wrestling Terry Taylor, of all people and a weird Revolution (redubbed Triple Threat presumably cause Shane Douglas and/or Mark Curtis wanted to represent Shane's stable that was actually good ) Vs SMW All Stars main event.

Championship Wrestling from Florida great Fit Finlay.

@BruiserBrody head slap.
Like four guys are legit Florida workers of note. *Head slap*

I'm not sure how often Carlos leapt off PR to work Florida. His only North American runs of note that I know of are his 83/84 JCP spotty stuff and being Carlos Bellefonte in Stampede, named after Harry. (IIRC)

I don't exactly have a history of Carlos in my mental rolodex.

I'd be curious to see if Wayne Ferris made it for some Eddie Graham time.
Can't look now, trying to track the end of Democracy/get ready for work.

I've never seen a WWF card this dire...

Apparently IWF was Killer Kowalski's promotion. Here we have Bruno Jr. as the top star, Johnny V. is probably the best wrestler and the roster are mostly WWF jobbers. Sixteen matches of WWF enhancement talent going over even lesser enhancement talent and then Bruno Jr. wrestling Larry Zbyszko to a double DQ.

How did @BruiserBrody not end up going to this show?

Or maybe he did go and blacked out while he was pounding beers in Nastyville?
Wausau is a bit of a hike and I was only 16 then.

I saw the Nasties in Green Bay for the XWF in 2001(ish) and met them during the Hogan and Friends tour.

They signed my WWF kids book where they fight the Bushwackers.

There are some shows from the early 2000s that happened around here that I was just unaware of and it made me sad to find out about them many years later.

I’m not looking to rebook a Indy house show from the early 2000s but it seems to be booking malfeasance to have OMG on a card and feature a hardcore match and not just do OMG and Knobbs, did we need to have Tatanka gingerly tossing trash lids onto Knobbs?

I bet Tony Atlas could have had good plunder brawl with Knobbs tbh. I saw Atlas have a shockingly watchable plunder brawl in 2015. He grabbed the house mic and sang “Swing Low, Sweet Chariot” for no real reason during the middle of it.

Somehow he was either smart enough or lucky enough to be every bit as good a worker as Saba Simba for many years.

I mean, Tatanka's 2006 run is solid as fuck with some sneaky good matches with Sylvan of all people. Snuka's last match of any worth was probably with Piper or Orton in 1984. Knobbs at least has apologists.

Adding Knobbs and Virgil to a Heroes Of Wrestling match is fucked up.

Interesting indy card full of WWF talent on loan.
Skip escapes his Transgender manager and Zip for some solo action.
Hugh Morris as a middle eastern madman vs a WWF jobber
Bigelow and Bundy going at it like it is a WWF 1987 B Show main event.
Jim Neidhart loses the WHO mask to take WHOever is dressed as Doink.
Ahmed and a Samoan who is weeks away from becoming middle eastern as well against Tatanka and a boxing/wrestling great's grandson (I guess it is legit?)
And fuck it, Nova's here too!!

I also like the no name team is apparently totally Rocky Balboa inspired???

Ralph Lemieux
defeated Viper
2
??? and ??? defeated Italian Sensation and Rocky Shore
3
Skip defeated Ray Odyssey
4
Ladder Match - NEW/NWA Northeast Light Heavyweight Title Match
Johnny Handsome
defeated Super Nova - TITLE CHANGE!!!
5
Abuddah Singh defeated Tony DeVito
6
NEW Heavyweight Title Match
Bam Bam Bigelow (c)
defeated King Kong Bundy
7
Jim Neidhart defeated Doink the Clown
8
Ahmed Johnson and Fatu defeated Primo Carnera III. and Tatanka

That would be the kinda dogshit match I could get into. Something would definitely go wrong.

It's a genuine shame Ahmend/Bigelow didn't happen because I think that could've been decent.

So close yet so far from the Bundy Ahmed dream match.
Bundy was on the roster until October ‘95, which is same month Ahmed debuted. Maybe KKB’s ‘94-‘95 run would be more fondly remembered if it ended with him letting Ahmed slam his tubby ass.

Are you implying there’s negative feelings about Bundy’s mid 90s performance?

Bundy and Ahmed do make the same TV taping. Bundy's last appearance airs in early November where he is part of a lumberjack type match gimmick where Bret has the Calgary Stampeder players on his side instead of the WWF faces.

Interesting(?) enough is the fact that Bundy replaced Owen for some house shows as Yoko's partner vs the Smoking Gunns in his swan song weeks in the WWF.
