Was talking with co-workers about this today and question came up: is Eddie Vedder the last survivor of the big grunge singers? As far as those passed I was thinking of Cobain, Staley, Weiland and now Cornell, having a hard time thinking of who else may be still be around now

I'd add Jerry Cantrell to the list of grunge singers still hanging in there. He did about 40% of AIC's vocals.

Jerry, Eddie, definitely Mark Arm of Mudhoney. Oh and I would put Mark Lanegan on the list of big grunge guys, too. Screaming Trees weren't as massive as the more successful bands, but he definitely had his hands in a lot of projects, including the amazing Mad Season.

He talked about helping other musicians with depression and addiction, he had a kids foundation, by all accounts loved his children and his wife.

I truly think he might have been diagnosed with a neurological disease not too long ago. Something that affected his memory and comprehension. Supposedly he had been having problems onstage at several shows, his voice was there but he was forgetting lyrics and acting strange.
