'90s country great Joe Diffie has passed cause of COVID symptoms and John Prine and Rammstein vocalist Till Lindemann are both in ICU due to the virus.

Jackson Browne has it but he says his symptoms are on the wane.

Rammstein's Facebook confirmed that Lindemann tested negative for COVID-19.

Adam Schlesinger, the bassist and songwriter for Fountains of Wayne and who wrote a lot of soundtrack for That Thing You Do! (plus a lot of songs for Crazy Ex Girlfriend and The Colbert Report), has it.

Initial reports said he was in a medically induced coma but just reading a release from his lawyer saying that while he is heavily sedated and on a ventilator, he's not in a coma.

I hope he stays on the road to recovery. The world needs whimsical power pop!

Governor of Missouri is allowing concerts starting tomorrow. Who the hell is going to go to a concert!? I saw most of the major promoters say they're still not going to do it but I could see some hillbilly bullshit going down in Branson!

Alternately, they're having drive in concerts in Denmark, which honestly seems like kind of a cool idea. Like to honk my horn at .38 Special.

Tupelo Music Hall is an hour and a half drive from me and I am mildly to moderately curious.

I actually got an offer to do a live show at the end of June yesterday at a small café but it was a quick, pretty hard pass. Comedy shows are one of the least safe places. All of the spit on the microphone. I might be ready for a live show by the end of summer but not by the end of June!

EDM seems like it should be one of the last genres to do these concerts not the first. It might be fun to try and honk your horn to the beat though.

Tupelo Music Hall at least lets you sit outside your car but sitting in lawn chair when you want to dance isn't that much better than sitting in your car.
