A. Teams can select a maximum of 10 keepers of any position. A 11th, and 12th keeper can be kept by paying a Keeper Luxury Tax.
B. Teams can choose to keep less than 10 keepers.
C. All keepers must be turned in by Feb 15th, 2026.
D. If keepers are not submitted by the deadline date, the team is considered open and a replacement manager will be found. Keepers lock on the deadline for all teams. Any remaining players that were listed as not kept after the deadline become free agents for the draft. They are no longer under your team's control.
E. LEAGUE YEAR: The new league year begins the day after the keeper deadline date that keepers lock for the upcoming season. For this season, the new league year begins on February 16th, 2026, the day after the keeper deadline. Once a new league year begins, any unkept players on a roster become free agents and are no longer considered a part of your roster. If keepers for a roster were appointed by the commish, that team/roster's league year begins on that date that the commish set those assigned keepers. If keepers were not submitted by the keeper deadline for a team, they will be assigned by the commish. The commish will assign those keepers within 48 hrs past the keeper deadline.

G. If a team keeps less than the maximum number of keepers, TEN, they will receive a compensatory round draft pick for every spot below the maximum.
Keeper Luxury Tax:
If a team would like to keep an 11th or 12th player, they can. However they will have to forfeit certain draft picks. If they keep an 11th player, they will forfeit their 1st and 4th round picks. If they keep a 12th player, they will also forfeit their 2nd and 3rd round picks.
H. A team will NOT receive a compensatory pick if they trade a keeper after the keeper due date deadline. Even if you trade a keeper after the deadline and drop below the 10 keeper max, you will NOT receive a compensatory round pick. Compensatory picks assigned for being under the 10 keeper maximum are assigned immediately following the keeper deadline. Comp picks for this will not be assigned again later on.
I. The compensatory round takes place after Round One in the draft. Compensatory picks are slotted based on worst to best end of regular season standings results. "New Manager" compensatory picks will slot before returning manager compensatory picks for all "first" compensatory picks. If a team has a second compensatory round pick, it is slotted in the same manner after all of the other team's first compensatory round picks are slotted. Compensatory round picks may be given out at the discretion of the commish under other circumstances.
J. Injured/Retired/Unsigned/Suspended keeper exemption. If a manager decides not to keep a player after the keeper deadline takes effect they can cut said player. However, they can not add any other player from their roster as a replacement. Instead, they will be awarded a compensatory pick at the end of the compensatory round. If a manager decides to cut a player during the draft, they will be awarded a pick and its placement at the discretion of the commish. If a player is cut during the draft, that player is ineligible to be drafted by any other team. The player is essentially on waivers and can be added after the draft through waivers. A player can not be cut if he is not seriously injured, retired, unsigned, or suspended. A significant injury is classified as something to cause a player to miss at least half the season. Example, broken leg/arm, acl tear, tommy john surgery.
K. The Draft. The draft is ten rounds, non-snaking, worst regular season record to best for slotting, league champion picks last. Consolation Winner receives the first pick in the draft. This is an extra pick. If the consolation winner leaves the league, than the prize is vacated for that season.
Drafting process. Slow style draft on yahoo. The draft will be 12 hour time limits per pick. When it's your turn to draft, you will ADD YOUR DRAFT PICK TO YOUR TEAM ROSTER ON YAHOO. Add the draft pick player just like you would any other free agent during the season. The yahoo transaction add time stamp will be the official clock we go by for the 12 hour time limits.
L. TIME LIMIT AUTO-DRAFT RULES:
If you have hit your 12 hour time limit for your draft pick, and an additional 24 hours have passed without you drafting a player, your draft pick will be auto-drafted to your roster based on the highest yahoo ownership percentage % player that is available. This is subject to change if it is causing your roster to triple up on an infield batting position or it's toward the end of the draft and you still have unfilled position needs. Then the auto-draft player is subject to commish discretion. If you are habitually not drafting within your time limit, your time limit is subject to taken down to zero hr per pick and your team filled by auto-draft methods.
M. After the draft, the remainder of a team's roster is filled by post draft waivers. The commish will reset the league on yahoo, process the full draft results, then all undrafted players will go on waivers. Those post draft waivers are slotted worst end of regular season record to best, league champion at the end. Teams incurring time limit delays 2 or more during the draft lose their spot and go to the end of the line. After the initial post-draft waiver period passes, the waiver priority numbers are reset to the initial ordering for the regular season. There is no benefit to not use your waiver claim spot after the draft. If you do not fill your roster at all prior to the waivers being reset, your season number will be slotted at the end of the line.
N. Draft picks can be traded at any point during the season, off-season, and during the draft. Trade must be posted in this league thread on this forum and both teams confirming it. If you make a trade involving picks and after the season a team leaves, the traded picks are still in effect.
O. During the draft, a manager has 12 hours to complete a draft pick. The time starts immediately following the previous selection. The added player transaction time on yahoo is the official time stamp we will go by for draft pick time limits.
If a manager picks out of order in the draft, the player they selected will not be deemed a valid pick until it is their actual turn to draft. The invalid draft pick selection will be dropped off their roster by the commish. If the invalid drafted player is still available when it is actually that managers turn, he will be re-added to that team's roster by the commish. This player is fair game to be drafted by other teams until it is an actual valid selection. If a manager drafts out of order twice or more there will be draft penalties. After a team's 2nd time limit delay their time is dropped to 6 hours. After their 3rd delay, their time is dropped to 2 hours the remainder of the draft.
P. After the Fantasy Championship matchup has ended, the in-season trade deadline period will be lifted. Trading can again commence. Managers must post in the Fantasy Baseball thread any trade and both managers involved in the trade must confirm the trade is true before it is validated.
Q. New managers inherit all facets of their team when taking over a team, players, draft pick slot, draft pick trades.
R. OHTANI / TWO-WAY PLAYER:
Both Batter and Pitcher version of Ohtani MUST be rostered by the same team. If you trade either Batter or Pitcher Ohtani, you are trading all of the rights to Ohtani. If you drop one portion of Ohtani, he will be re-added to your roster. If one portion of Ohtani keeps being dropped after a final drop warning is posted in this thread, then both Pitcher and Batter Ohtani's will be moved to the 14th place (last place team) based on standings at the time either Pitcher/Batter is dropped. If you are keeping Ohtani as a Keeper, you are required to keep both Pitcher and Batter Ohtani. He will take up two keeper spots, just like the two roster spots he takes up.
There are other two-way players in baseball, but as of the 2026 season, this rule only applies to Shohei Ohtani. If another player emerges, the player ownership rights will be given to the manager that currently rosters a portion of the player. If both Pitcher and Batters of a two-way player are owned, first ownership rights will be offered to which ever manager had the earliest transaction add date and continuous ownership without dropping. If a player is added to this list and a manager loses the portion of the player because of it in the off-season, a compensatory round draft pick will be awarded. If the first and then the second manager declines the full ownership of the player, then no compensatory picks will be awarded to either. The two-way player list this rule applies to will be updated at the end of each season. Eventually when his play declines, Ohtani will fall off this list.

S. Team Neglect & Abandonment.
If a team is left abandoned or neglected during the season. The manager is subject to be replaced. Poor performance is not considered neglect. Leaving an injured player in a starting lineup and fully healthy players on the IL in a league that has daily roster moves for 3 or more weeks is. This does not mean leaving a healthy player on the IL is neglect if you have a fully healthy roster. If your team falls in to general starting lineup neglect, expect to get a message suggesting to make some roster moves. If no moves are made within a week, don't be shocked if you get replaced as the team's manager. This rule is designed to prevent the teams that are left for dead mid-season and their manager never returning.
T. These rules are subject to review and revision after the season is over and prior to the start of drafting at the discretion of the league and the commissioner.
