Dynasty = Keep every single player on your roster at year's end and have it roll through into the next season. I liken it to being a GM as you have to weight short term vs. long term and ability to discern talent at key positions.

We'll probably have an offline 3-4 Round "Rookie" Draft for incoming draft classes which teams can trade picks for players e.g. say I really thought Aaron Murray was the next Peyton Manning. I could offer you RB Eddie Lacy for your 2014 Round 1 Pick or vice versa in hopes that I'd get a pick high enough to select him.

I signed up right out of the email. D-damn, that scoring and roster size is buck. 2 PPR is nuts. I would maybe consider a variable PPR instead if your goal is to balance scoring. Some of the huge online money leagues use .5 PPR for running backs, 1 PPR for receivers, and 1.5 PPR for tight ends.

Unfortunately Yahoo doesn't allow variable PPR and I kind of like the 2 PPR since it'll force ppl to consider 3rd Down Backs/Slot WRs/even TEs much higher than normal. The goal of the league is less to achieve pure balance and to just be "buck" as you put it.

This is my first Dynasty League, how exactly does the Rookie Draft work? Do we have to release players off our team to make room for the Rookies?

Does the league activity ever really shut down? For instance if a player on my team murks some dude in June, can I release that guy then and pick someone up off the free agent list? Or do I have to wait for some sort of compensatory draft that happens in the preseason where we get to discard all our players with blown out knees and prison sentences?

#1: You'll likely have to cut 4 unless you end up dealing your rookie picks. You can treat this as 'evaluation' of the bottom end of your roster as well.
#2: Yeah, if something happens in the offseason you can continue to make moves. That's part of the fun of a dynasty is that it's never "over" when the season is over so to speak. Not sure how long the Yahoo leagues remain open for that to be feasible but if necessary, we can make posts and such.

Any chance of moving the draft to sunday or monday? There's a good chance I won't be able to make it wednesday night due to softball playoffs. Maybe even thurday night (I know it's opening night for football but I believe any stats would be counted retroactively.
