There have been a couple Dahmer movies made. One with Jeremy Renner which focuses on the murder years as an adult and the one a few years ago with the Disney kid that focuses on his high school years before his first murder. I liked both with the second being a fraction better. It is an interesting story no matter what but Murphy tends to hit homers in his first few shows and then go into a prolonged slump.

Like, I won't argue with those whose lives, or the lives of loved ones, were directly affected by the person that a creative work is focusing on when they say it's still traumatizing...but 'membah when the phrase "don't like it, don't watch it" was around?

Not always (see Mike Tyson show on Hulu) but tbh it doesn’t matter. This idea a subject has to agree with the content they’re portrayed in or that they should have a say in it is batshit lunacy. This is what happened and there’s no defamation so get over it.
