Figured each of the Deadpool movies got its own thread and this deserves it.

The opening to the title that these movies rely on remain fantastic and the song choice/decisions for Deadpool killed it at my showing.
I had the most fun with this one. The plot and villain(s) [question mark?] are by far the weakest element (and I was loving Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova) and it reminded me a ton of the issues surrounding Christian Bale's character in the Thor movie (he was also bald... hmmm) so those flaws remain. I think she had even less screen time than he did in that movie, which I didn't think could happen. Matthew Macfadyen as Mr. Paradox was also fun but again was basically boiled down to a couple scenes with D&W and then kind of just disappeared for a chunk of the movie. It's almost like Marvel movies are afraid to write scenes for the villains unless they're with the heroes lest the audience loses interest or dares to prefer the villain instead.
Everything else was great. The cameos were cool (I popped biggest for
while the theater crowd popped more for
). The fight scenes were fantastic as usual although they seemed to rely almost too much on the nut shots in this one almost as a, "Haha get it another nut shot we're so edgy/hilarious still."
One of the highlights of these movies is that the writers (and Reynolds) understand how to interject downbeat scenes and let emotions into it, have conversations between characters, and let that work. There's a couple Wolverine scenes that I think worked really well in that manner. The
was another memorable highlight for me.

This is definitely not some sort of SAVIOR of the MCU type film, which I never expected going in and don't really get why fanboys made it such a big deal outside of the multiverse inclusion and Deadpool now being part of the MCU or whatever. I frankly don't give a shit how the universes tie together or which characters can be in which universes. Just give me a good movie. Something like Spider-Man: No Way Home was so great because it smartly touched on each character, kept them different but "the same" and didn't rely on the multiverse as the inherent gimmick. It remembered the characters were the focus and the portal was just a tool.
I'd probably rank them as Deadpool 1 > Deadpool & Wolverine > Deadpool 2 (which I think actually had the best character plot element but I still prefer #1's plot overall). DP1 is probably the best but I'd re-watch D&W the most probably.
