Digital antennas

I'm thinking about picking up an audiovox terk flat digital antenna. I can get a free one from work and was wondering if anyones used them before? Worth it or should I pass on it? Never had cable as netflix and hulu plus mostly get me through the day.

I use one on a TV that isn't HD because the reception is better for the local channels than on DirecTV for whatever reason. Surely it's worth "free."
