I really liked that Eamon song when it came out. Started a thread about it at the old board! He called his genre of music "ho-wop."

EDIT: I also remember that the on-screen MTV title of the song was changed from "F**k It (I Don't Want You Back)" to simply "I Don't Want You Back" after the Janet Jackson breast scandal and while I can't prove any link between the two I have my theories.

That song is a guilty pleasure for me too. In fact, I was disappointed that no other ho-wop artists followed. I'm a big fan of doo wop and profanity so I would've totally dove in head first to a ho-wop crazy.

The response song by Frankee however sucked. Weirdly, they both reached #1 in the UK. I bet Chriswok, Luke-o, Amnesia Glasscock were jonesing for the ho-wop invasion more than I was.

You were surprised that a song called "Cocksucker Blues" was filthy? Also, re: that song, I guess it was a funny "fuck you" to Decca, but it isn't such a good song.

If I'm going to use an Ol' Dirty Bastard Song, then "Dogshit" is the best example.

"But pardon me bitch, as I shit on your grass
That means hoe, you been shit-ted on!
I'm not the first dog that's shitted on your lawn"

I was referring to the title, primarily. The first time I'd heard it/heard of it, I was quite surprised, yes.

And yeah, it's kinda blah. The Whigs did an awesome live cover of it, though.
