This is a rad thing, but too uncharacteristic to really qualify as the Ultimate Elton John Song.

A case could perhaps be made for "Goodbye Yellow Brick Road," as that chorus is practically perfect, but I think the song as a whole is just slightly less substantial than the two I've got listed here. Brevity can be a virtue, obviously, but with this it's almost like it ends just when it should be picking up steam.
