Every song on Low-life is at least a minute too long.

Every time I think "is this song almost over?" I open the Spotify window and sure enough, it has about a minute left.

Outside a few singles, I've never much cared for New Order. But it's been so long since I've actually listened to them, I thought I'd give them a fair shot. This is the thread for that.

Bernard Sumner has a terrible voice. I'm not a singing purist—far from it!—but his tuneless wailing is all wrong for this music. I remember on this:

he sounded drunk.

I never found anything wrong with his voice before, but now that you've mentioned it, I can't not hear it.

Thanks for ruining New Order for me, low-life.

Low-life isn't tier 1 New Order or anything, but it's still the only album of theirs I own on vinyl. 'Love Vigilantes' is an incredible song, I'm going to busk it.

I bet you'd also find a way to dislike Technique, smgdh.

Was thinking of hitting up Republic next—I've no set order for doing this—but I could do Technique instead :-*

Something I Feel Strongly About: Galaxie 500 did "Ceremony" better than New Order.

This comment led me to listen to Galaxie 500 for the first time (I listened to On Fire after some googleage), and that turned out to be a really good idea.
