Collecting Funko was fun for a while. I slimmed my collection down to just a handful. They just flooded the shit out of their market. Not surprised. Who the hell wants Hello Neighbor pops?

Never really got the appeal of the Funkos in general (especially the sheer variety) but I do own a classic Harley Quinn. I always kind of took them as a cheaper, more mass-produced alternative to stuff like bobbleheads and the sort.

Yeah. I have 7 in my home office/gym area and that’s exactly why I like them. I am not gonna drop a bunch of money on figures or bobble heads but $12 for a Funko of an old wrestler or NBA player I like? Sure.

Based on my retail experience, I'm willing to guess most of this will be huge brands like Star Wars that they mass produced beyond reason.
Poor Lando is a shelf warmer at Walmarts across the US. (Source - My youtube vlogs I watch every week.)

Spector Creative on youtube used to run the MOTU line for Mattel and did a video explaining why some toys are doomed for peg warmer status.

Years ago, despite my massive action figure collection, was against buying them because they looked goofy. Then I broke the seal and now I have like 20 MOTU, a handful of WWF (Hogan/Macho/Andre/Piper/Flair variants) and a few assorted extras in other brands. When I went to Chicago's C2E2 last Fall, basically half or more of the toy booths was just endless walls of Pops.
We have a ghetto barbershop in Appleton that has converted half their retail space into a Pops store, which blew my mind.
Our local Walmarts vary. Mine basically has none, minus a few random ones sitting on top of the video games in Electronics, while other WMs around here have a 4 foot section. Feels like Amazon is winning this war since they can sell so many other variations instead of the limited stock of brands a retail store can display.

My Walmart is still littered with Eternals pops. They just don’t seem to kind them sitting motionless for months.

Do you have a link for the video? That sounds like an interesting subject to learn about.
