Hey, I thought it would be a good idea to have a thread for the curious to ask about artists so that the members here with advanced knowledge on the subject can act as a guide...what songs/albums to check out first (good ones that are accessible enough to be entry points), which ones are good, but advanced material, and which to stay away from (kind of like AV Club's "Primer" series that they used to do).
To kick it off, I'm interested in Dinosaur, Jr. "Feel the Pain" is the only song I know, and I'm checking out Without A Sound on Spotify. Kind of interesting, but I'm reading lists that rank this album in last place of their output. Is that an accepted opinion, and why? I'm reading that Green Mind is considered their best. Anyway, I'll turn this thread over to the resident experts, or anyone else with a "Get Me Into..." request. Thanks!
