No news confirmed as such as to where this will go, who will star in it, but at least its been confirmed to have been picked up by a studio FINALLY! Obviously there's the strongly believed plot of the Ghostbusters handing the reigns over to a 'New Breed', but hopefully that doesn't Seth Rogan, Dane Cook, Will Ferrell and Chris Rock.

Yeah, the computer game, as Dan Akroyd said, is as close to a third film as they would get, now we have this! So will this follow the 'Hell on Earth' script he had written out, or will it be a fresh script idea? How much input will they have?

Of the plot ideas I've heard, I most liked the one that had them being forced out of retirement to train some bumbling young Ghostbuster-wannabes who've been fucking everything up. Rumors had people like Seth Rogen in the cast; yeah, I can actually see him in the jumpsuit with the particle accelerator on his back.

Ghostbusters is like the film I associate with my childhood.. I know every line from beginning to end.

Ghosbusters II was pretty bad, but passable.

I just can't imagine a Ghostbusters flick without Akroyd/Murray/Ramis etc...

Guess we shall see.

Just so long as Murray, Ramis, & Aykroyd are in, I'm game. I guess I like the second movie more than most people, because I wouldn't associate the word 'bad' with it ever. It's not anywhere near as good as the first one, but I still love it.

They were actually going to make a third one back in 1997 or so with Vince Vaughn as Venkman, Chris Farley as Ray's nephew , David Spade as Egon's relative and Chris Rock in the Winston role (his son I think)

Aykroyd actually wrote the script but Farley died and the whole project was put on the shelf

Seth Rogen is an excellent new guy. Him and Bill Hader have that sort of 'everyman' kind of humor to them, where they can be funny without being completely wacky like Ferrell, irritating as fuck like Cook, or as bitchy as Rock.

Over exposed, I think. I enjoy most of his movies, especially when he's in supporting roles like in Superbad and 40 Year Old Virgin. But as a lead actor? He's alright, but nothing special.

Yeah, I totally went off Will Ferrall between 06-08 as he seemed to have a film out every other month and they were all the same. Its now the same with Seth Rogen, he's the same guy in every film he plays.
