I need a webhost (maybe)

I want to create my own website (more like blog/podcast) and I want my own domain name. What would be the best way to go about it?

Not that I do anything with it, but I have a couple of domains through godaddy and haven't had any problems with them. And it's very easier to sign up and buy a domain there.

That's just a domain though, not hosting.

TRTSM actually uses gatorhost.com, which is a pretty solid site. Two others I might recommend are dreamhost.com as well as freehostia.com. In any case, freehostia and dreamhost both actually will host a web app for free, so if you're setting up a wordpress blog you can have it set up through them. Here are the links for them:

You'll just have to pay for the godaddy domain, which is about $10 a year, and then hook it up to the host, which can be a tiny bit of a cumbersome process (as evidenced by the times that therealtsm.com link didn't work last year) but overall pretty straightforward. Good luck!
