I probably wont be able to pick it up tonight, but I should have before the week is done. I loved the demo, and I have been itching for a new game lately and I think I found what I was looking for.

So I spent a few hours on this last night - it's pretty fun. It's very much like Crackdown, as people had pointed out in their initial impressions, but that's not a bad thing (for me at least).

My only gripes are with the enemy AI and the lack of cool moves in the beginning. I've read that you pretty much have to wait until you're almost at the end of the game before you get the cool combos and death blows.

As for the AI.. it's kind of frustrating. There is no "stealth" to this game - in that you can't sneak up on enemies. Even if their back is turned and you're slowing walking up to them they will still automatically turn around and start attacking you once you're a specific distance from them. I also find it frustrating that they can shoot at you from way out of your radar range and you can't even see where it's coming from. =\

Other than that, it's damn fun. Restraining civilians with electricity and then sucking the life out of them is especially satisfying in an evil way. ;)

Played the demo, and i just find the controls to be very unresponsive. I lost count the amount of times i kept dying due to baddies sneaking up on me while i was trying to take one down.

Should be coming in the mail any day now. Wasn't too sure about the demo at first, but by my second play through it, I loved it, so I'm excited.

I'm up to "chapter" 16 now. The city is immense. It reminds me a lot of Vice City with all of the crazy places you can go. Also - I take back that gripe about no cool moves til the end. I'm only 25% through the game and I nearly have all of my upgrades at the mid-point and am only missing 2 or 3 new moves altogether.

I finished this (as Evil Cole) this weekend. My girlfriend actually called the ending/twist EXACTLY how it played out earlier on during the week. I just blew it off thinking it couldn't be that obvious.. but there it was, and now I owe her a beer (that she won't drink and will give to me).

Anyway, the ending falls flat for me. I wish there was a little more to this game after the fact. I really hope they add some DLC missions or modes to it. Then again there's always Prototype next week.

The thing that bugs me about the game is the constant attack by the "snipers".

Fuck yes... and that you can't see them on your radar to figure out where the hell the gunfire is coming from.

Counter-Surveillance missions also bug me. It's really hard sometimes to see those little fucking things on the buildings.

So up until this point from when I bought a PS3 back in September 2007, I had never wanted to smash the controller against the wall. But that mission in this game where you have to jump on the hot air balloons and detach the poison gas -- words can't describe how frustrating I found this. It seemed the buildings were never tall enough to use as a jumping point for Cole, even while using the glide, and then once I would finally jump on the balloon, either sniper fire or a rocket would knock me right off and send me plummeting. And the mission itself is just so damn lengthy having to travel to all three boroughs. Yeesh.

^^^^^^^^^ yup - that one was fucking brutal. I didn't even realize that you could shoot out the guns on the balloons until after about 20 tries at it normally.

Really? I didn't find that mission to be that hard. It was challenging, sure, but after about the second balloon, I just got the hang of it, and breezed right through it. I think I only died once during that mission. And I was playing it on medium.

Anyway, I really like this game even with its flaws. I finally beat it last night after taking my time getting all of the dead drops and clearing out every island 100%. I'm about 40 blast shards away from getting them all. I restarted a game to play evil. I want to try to get every trophy for this game, which will be a first for me.

inFamous is $30 at Future Shop, and Best Buy Canada. (And possibly EB.) The Best Buy deal's been known about for a while, and it looks like Future Shop's going to match the sale as well.

And heck, if you want to test your luck, FS has 10% off select games starting Tuesday at 9PM ET. Maybe that'll get you another $3 off.

inFamous for PS Vita potentially let slip during interview – rumour

inFamous may be heading to PS Vita, following a potential slip-up from Sucker Punch’s Nate Fox during an interview.

During a video interview with DualShockersTV, Fox was quizzed about off-shoots from inFamous: Second Son, and he let out the stumbled response, “Right now we’re only talking about the PS4 game… I’d love to tell you about any Vita related titles when… or if the time comes,” before seeming quite flustered.

I beat this game the other day, BTW. Wasn't too happy about a lot of the storylines not really being tied up unless you get all off the drops and playthrough as both Good and Evil Cole.

Seemed like the whole purpose of the game was to set up a sequel.
