Great CD. $12 at wal-mart. I recommend "All For The Glory" with Eric Singer on lead vocals.

I see Ace Frehley has a new solo disc out too. Haven't heard any of it yet though.

One of my friends is a huge, huge fan of 80s Kiss, and made me promise him two years ago that I'd go see them with him if they came to town. Lo and behold, in a week, I have to fulfill my promise. If they play "Lick It Up" I guess I'll come out of this okay.

I was at the concert in Toronto on Friday and it was a good show.

The Good:

They do play Lick it Up
A lot of songs from the first Alive era, like Deuce,Black Diamond and Cold Gin to name a few.
Tommy Thayden is a phenominal guitarist

The Bad:

No Tears Are Falling which is the best 80's Kiss song.

Awful:

Not one, but two Gene Simmons bass solos.

Dude, at TOTSM in its heyday, we might have had a KISS related thread that contained 50% KISS related posts but all of those rubes (except me, Red Baron and good ol' Paul apparently) either left before the exile or aren't allowed back in. As much as I'd love to discuss Van Halen, this is probably a good thing. Survival of the hippest so to speak.

Love the Roth era, think the first album or two of the Hagar era isn't bad for what it is but the rest is kind of bland crap, and the less said about Van Halen III the better.

Van Halen's debut is pretty fucking sick. I don't really care for any of their other output. The stuff after Roth is kinda pointless too.

Debut's obviously the best. But I think Fair Warning is high up there too. The rest is kind of like AC/DC---it all runs together (except 1984 which has a shit ton of synth) but it's a generally agreeable listening experience for me.

I only liked one song off Van Halen 3.

My favorite VH albums include Diver Down, and Van Halen II.
