I'll clarify that I realize there is a thread for this already. Yet its like over a year old and its frankly shallow. So I made this new one. I guess you could say its an "opinion" on it as well.

So what is Marvel Heroes? As you can see by the description of this thread, its basically a Diablo styled action MMO. You'll have lots of loot drops, you'll experience some challenging fights (boss and unique fights) and also be able to team up with other heroes. Even copies of yourself because the hero is your class.

Speaking of heroes, you can (now) select the following heroes at the start:
Luke Cage
Punisher
Captain America
Black Panther
Black Widow
Human Torch
Colossus
Storm
Hawkeye

There are others but are only unlockable after earning enough Energy Syphons (or paying cash). Each character plays differently than another. You know the drill: melee, ranged, a mixture, tanking, damaging, etc. You'll be able to choose from that list a wide variety of different play styles. There are also different costumes you can equip for each character. You can earn some unique costumes as drops (very rare), some are only available via certain ways.

However, you only can unlock one character (and default costume) to start with (unless you pay cash). So whoever you pick to start with, choose wisely. There is no going back. Myself, I picked Captain America because I like his shield style of fighting, even if my play style isn't very well suited for it. Cap is a balanced character I find. He's capable of doing everything, except healing.

Since you'll be playing like Diablo, you'll need to be careful with how things work. Your left mouse click is your standard hit move (which replenishes stamina), but it is also how you get around as well. It takes a bit of time to get used to when you haven't played a Diablo styled game in a while. The combat is fast paced and you'll be mowing down the minions like any good hero would and should. Special moves take stamina (at least in Cap's case) to use and have different effects (Shield Toss has a nice stun). Gear can also effect how you play as some gear boosts certain skills (legendary boosting all skills by 1), so good gear is always good to have.

Story's been pretty good. Doom's up to usual Doom stuff and its up to you (and other heroes) to stop him. I find the cutscenes lacking though. The comic style is a good idea for them, but the artwork is kind of sub par. Wish Marvel would update those. There are some cutscenes using the in game engine and I quite like those.

So anyone else playing? And I probably haven't convinced anyone to play it, but it actually is quite fun. Especially if you like Diablo's style of play.
