Microsoft Security Essentials vanished

I had Microsoft Security Essentials as a Anti-viruis program on my computer and today I noticed it was not on my computer anymore. I got a message from Windows 7 saying that it was turned off and that I needed to turn it back on Manually but I can't find the program.

I tried to re-install the program but when I go to do that, I get a error message saying that the Set up Wizard will not run.

Any ideas on what the problem may be?

The problem is it updated recently, and somehow you got hosed? Clean uninstall and reinstall.

Where are you looking? Have you tried both Add/Remove Programs and Security Center?

I forgot to look in the Add/Remove programs area and it was still listed there. I clicked on it to uninstall it and my computer said it was already apprently uninstalled and asked to remove it from the add/remove programs list, so I did and it installed just fine on my computer.

Don't know what happen but now I have it again. Thanks for the help Thoth.
