Surprisingly even easier than the Celtics one. Biggest debate was whether it was too soon to put LeBron on the team. I haven't been punishing guys for injuries for the most part, and the one year LeBron stayed healthy the Lakers won it all. Some might also question Pau as a starter, but staying true to position, he is probably the best PF the Lakers have had.

Maybe should have been Artis or Kenon on the team, but Bowen's 8 all-defensive teams were too hard to overlook in the end.

If I were going to put Gilmore on that team, it isn't Bowen I would have left off, to make room for him.

Phoenix Suns est. 1968

NBA Titles: 0
NBA Finals appearances: 3 (1976, 1993, 2021)
Trivia time:
  • The Suns are one of three NBA franchises (Knicks, Pistons) to lose in the Finals at least three times, before winning their first NBA Championship. The Nationals/76ers, Bullets/Wizards, Rockets and Cavaliers all won their first championship in their third trip to the Finals.
  • The Bucks are the fastest team ever to win their first championship.** They are also the team with the longest span of time between championships, although that record will be broken if either the Kings or Hawks ever win another championship, at any point, or if the Knicks do not win another championship before 2024.
  • The Trail Blazers (1977) remain the only team in NBA history to win the NBA Championship in their first ever trip to the playoffs.**
  • The Rockets (1995) are the only team to win the NBA Championship without homecourt advantage in any round of the playoffs.

** Excludes the charter franchises.
