I'm good with any of the 4 teams making it to the Super Bowl to be honest. I'm pulling for Chiefs/49ers just to see the back & forth offensively. Ravens/Lions feels like it'd be good on paper but I could see the Ravens just steamrolling Detroit if Jared Goof showed up.

According to Twitter, this was Lamar Jackson a few minutes ago:

Also, how is the first person to post this clip in this thread someone who doesn't even watch football?

Ravens play calling was ridiculously conservative on offense. Have no idea what they were doing

I can’t believe that you need a field goal to tie and are in good range and go for it. I absolutely can’t believe it

Like I said at the beginning of the playoffs Campbell would scare the hell out of me. Feel so bad for Lions fans.

Pretty boring SB rematch

Maybe I'll feel different later, but I'm not much for "happy to be here" or "the Lions are set up for the future" (did we forget the NFL stands for Not For Long?). Objectively, it was a great season, but it stings to blow a big lead at this point in the season.

Yeah that 'built for the future' shit doesn't mean anything, and I hate when people tell me I should be happy with my team's season. Usually it comes from people used to watching their team win, if you saw your team win a Super Bowl in your life then keep that shit to yourself. They don't know shit about what this is like. The Giants won a playoff game last year, the Titans were the 1 seed two years ago, there isn't really anything someone could tell me that would make me feel better about this if it was me. It comes and it goes so fast. Detroit got there while healthy, they didn't lose any of their top players for the season, and teams rarely do that shit two years in a row. They just don't do it. I know I'd be despondent and I would not be coping well with this.

The other thing to note is when a team is successful for 3-4 years (making the playoffs routinely), their organization and roster quickly start to turn over with assistant coaches being hired elsewhere and players going to chase bigger $$ deals with other teams so it's a lot harder to replenish a team fast even with a few top tier pieces around.

Look at Pittsburgh since 2017. New Orleans post Drew Brees (which really only had a 4 year run since 2013). Even the Rams, for all the McVay cock gobbling, have won more than 10 games just 1 year since 2019. Vrabel gave Tennessee just 2 seasons of 11+ wins and that seems to have been their window.

Well that was quite the rollercoaster ride last night. 24-7 at halftime...I was very very very worried. Josh Reynolds dropping the ball on that 4th down when they didn't go for the FG was the first domino...then the Aiyuk deflection catch, then the turnover...it just snowballed.

The defense needs to get its shit together and not go down early in games, but I am pumped to get a rematch with Mahomes and the Chiefs from 2019.

I think that game was the epitome of what I've seen across the league this year where teams forego field goals early, even just to push their teams up say 13-3 or 17-9, and turn the ball over on downs. Then they lose in more egregious ways later e.g. giving up a TD drive, turning the ball over, etc. and the media just ignores the early 4th down failed conversion.

I've seen a handful of games decided by 3-6 points where the losing team didn't take the gimme field goal(s) early and they lost.

The failed fourth down by the Packers while within FG range in the Divisional Round against the Niners in the first half was HUGE and all it got afterwards was "they failed on a fourth down" and that's that. Against a #1 seed (and all teams really) you HAVE to get whatever points you can get and not fuck around.
