Yeah, so, lots of folks blast this game for being a Dynasty Warriors rip-off or whatever but I thought it was fun. I see there is a sequel out now but I read it's from a new developer with a new take on new newness for news sake of new so I'm wary.

The original N3 (so hip!) was just stupid, mindless, fun. Tidal waves that kill 2000 people in one shot and wading through armies with ever expanding repertoire of crowd clearing attacks and combos made you feel like a big man. I didn't actually care that it was a Dynasty Warriors rip-off since I like those games too. Plus it was a fantasy and magic focus instead of whatever you call Dynasty Warriors focus. Almost every character was fun to play and none of them suffered from Ken and Ryu palette swap issues. Using the ogre to pick dudes up and swing them like clubs was fun!

Anyone tried the sequel?

I enjoyed the original overall. I just didn't ike the fact that hit detection on bosses was a mess, and save points were practically non-existant. Killing thousands at once was mindles fun though.
