I love these. Has anyone else heard them? I didn't hear much 60s psychedelic rock aside from the mainstream hits, but I listened to these compilation albums a few years back and was blown away. For those that don't know, these are box sets featuring an eclectic mix of great psychedelic rock songs of the 60s. The first comp was made in 1972 I believe, and consisted of mainly American bands. I don't think that was by design, but about thirty years later when they made a second box set they focused on international bands.

A lot of it is on YouTube.

"It's a Sin to Go Away" might be my favourite off of any of the comps. Such a melodic dreamy pop song that probably inspired some shoegazing bands from the isles. That's from a band called We All Together, from Peru. Their self-titled LP is also on YouTube and p. good. It's funny, they were formed in 1971, but I guess Rhino Records didn't want to stretch the album title into the 70s.

Alfie you'd probably dig these comps. You've probably heard them, talk about them itt
