PC Audio Problems

So I put my new speakers into my PC today and this Realtek HD Audio Manager program pops up. I can't get any sound out of my speakers but my PC acts as if the speakers are working perfectly. Now I do a few tests & I get some sound from a 'test' from the circled sections, yet no sound from the squared sections. It appears the squared sections are the ones that make the sound come out of my speakers.

Anybody have any idea about this? I'm going to go out on a limb & blame Vista.

In XP there's a dropdown box that toggles which audio device to use; I'm not familiar with Vista at all but is it possible there's a Windows-centric sound setting that's messed up?

I've found it but the default is the one I want, yet still no luck.

Brody, thanks.

I'd imagine so, it's a basic hook up back there. Wire from my speakers simply going into the hole that says 'Speaker out'.
