The girl groups and wall of sound are some of my favorite things in the history of music and I'm the only one who really likes the work on Let It Be, most likely. That Phil Spector died years ago, though.

Phil Spector was a piece of excrement whose positive influence in the music industry does not make up for the garbage human he was. Good goddamn riddance, even if his techniques were revolutionary and influential.

"The Long and Winding Road" is my favorite Beatles song and it's mostly due to Phil's production. The "naked" version of the song is so lacking. I know a lot of Beatles fans (and Paul himself) would disagree but I like what I like.
