You don't know me and you don't have to know me
I've recently been hearing about the wonders of unblock-us.com and some other service (which is how I found out about the former, but I've now forgot it's name - the logo in the ad I saw was the Netflix banner with a picture of a key). Both are $5 a month and people on Canadian forums (RedFlagDeals, Digital Home) seem really keen on them.
My problem is I'm an idiot when it comes to this and these all seemed like people that knew what they were doing. It SOUNDS easy enough to do, so that should be fine, but when it comes to computers and messing around with default settings, I get worried I'm going to screw something up irreparably, especially if I stop using the service. So, here are some questions many will find stupid but I'd like some clarification on before moving forward:
1. Can I easily switch back to my default IP if something requires me to do so (ex. something gets released on Netflix Canada that isn't in the US - it's rare, but it happens, as both Thor and Captain America were in Canada months before the US)?
2. This kind of goes with the above, but will I still be able to watch baseball without a problem? The only way this would be a problem, I think, is if it somehow gave me Tigers viewing area IP in Michigan, which I would get a message telling me to watch it on TV (which if I could do that, I wouldn't be streaming MLBTV through the Xbox).
3. What issues that I'm not even thinking about could this possibly mess up?
4. How easy is it to revert to normal if/when needed?
Thanks!
