Goddamn, this hurts. He really was becoming one of my favorite actors in the last few years. He had a real renaissance over the last two decades. I figured his health was failing when he bowed out of public life a few years ago.

At first I thought he died not long after Little Miss Sunshine came out, then I saw he was alive and was happy, now he's not and I'm not.

The most underutilized actor in Glengarry Glen Ross.

It's so awesome he was in the Jerky Boys movie. To this day I have no idea how they got him to do that.

I loved him as the oddly sensitive police chief in So I Married an Axe Murderer, as the conman dad in Slums of Beverly Hills, and recently as Norman in "The Kaminsky Method" (S1-S2).

I was going to mention So I Married an Axe Murderer. He was incredible in that and probably got my biggest laughs of that whole film
