R.I.P. Mark Lanegan, Screaming Trees singer and prolific solo artist

The iconic grunge-era singer was a prolific collaborator, from work with Queens Of The Stone Age to Afghan Whigs' Greg Dulli.

He’s mostly known for his work for Screaming Trees, Queens of the Stone Age and Mad Season, but I highly recommend some of his solo material. He also appeared on albums from Cult of Luna, Cold Caves and UNKLE. RIP

Got into him a fair bit in the early 2000s. Great singer and underrated influence in the Grunge movement since Screaming Trees were seen as a "one hit wonder" nationally more often than not.

Lanegan did a trio of albums with former Belle & Sebastian member Isobel Campbell. Honestly some hidden gems.
